In this moving and powerful talk, international reputation management expert, Lida Citroën, takes you through the process of finding your passion in life and serving others along the way. She shares how the power of gratitude and generosity led her to work with military veterans - a community she knew nothing about - which opened her eyes, heart and ability to impact millions of veterans. This talk will leave you inspired and informed with a new perspective on the military-to-civilian transition and hopefully with the desire to serve others.
A Denver Broncos football game changed the life of Lida Citroën. A civilian with no personal military connection, she found her passion in serving veterans when the team highlighted the challenges facing our veterans returning to civilian life. Citroën, an international reputation management and personal branding expert, has taught thousands of veterans and active duty service members how to build a personal brand that returns confidence, control, and focus to their post-military careers. She is the author of the best selling book, “Your Next Mission: A personal branding guide for the military-to-civilian transition” and a regular contributor to Entrepeneur.com, Military.com, and numerous international media platforms.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

purpose is a powerhouse granny lived 10 or 15 years longer than her body should have.. she was needed...the ran the house.. cooked the meals.. did the laundry and stung you with a hot tea spoon when you weren't looking.. yes , she was loved... her real strength came from being needed and appreciated... 😘

i'm 80 and you should have seen me rushing to home Depot for the vanity faucet for a tenant of my friend , russ.. pushing aside the helper who was having trouble....getting on my back under the sink to undo the tubes and hold fast nuts from the old faucet.. he said I was a master...his hero...little over the top, but a nice compliment...

The Iraq War will cost the US almost $2 trillion, according to the CBO. But it's sad see this amount of money isn't enough to eliminate veterans from living on the streets.
