this whole kids thing and her having me more money has really got me messed up a bit. it's super complicated: I was working extremely hard and have a professional career that required me to have a Master's degree. I have made 6 figures for most of my career. My boyfriend had more creative ambitions rather than a firm career path. We always decided (his idea which I supported) was that after the first year (mat leave) he would stay home with the kids. WHY? Because it was important to him to have someone home but I make more money and I have a secure career path. But fast forward in time. We end up breaking up. WHY? Because I didn't "need" him enough. I was shocked because he was my foundation and my strength. I was making sure that the was getting all the intimacy even years into the relationship. My dad taught me to take care of myself though. I can use power tools. I can fix a tire or my own oil change. I can fish. I can build things. So did I need him? No, I can and have survived but I desperately wanted him because he was my strength/foundation/security and the opinion that I valued more than anything. It's fucked up being a girl.

The moment you allow her to disrespect herself by acting in a manner that makes you feel a certain sort of way about yourself...no. Hard HELL NO! I would never cheapen my man's honor like that. I'd not cheapen myself like that. My man, my relationship, and my self-worth all mean way more than a possible deal, especially based on a lie... but who would be lied to: you or him?

Yep, another Colombian in the comments and I have to deny it. I think generalizing is the real land mine, cause it creates such an identity disruption. I agree with the other girl in the comments who said that we love hard, it’s so true. I also agree that there’s toxic women, but that’s everywhere, not specific to a culture. But as a Colombian woman, and also as a representation of the Colombian women I’ve surrounded myself with, we are hardworking, joyful, gracious, warm, and spirited. On a personal note, the stereotype has messed up my dating scene when I moved to the U.S., cause guys either have a fetish for the “spicy” Latina or they run away from it, they don’t give you an opportunity to unfold as a person/woman. It’s crazy how moving abroad has brought to my attention how crazy the stereotype is. I invite you all to visit the country and truly experience how welcoming and loving everyone is, especially women. Don’t let your view on a woman be damaged by some bad apples 🤍

The 18:01 part of the video. I’m a medical student and i live in Iran. So because of our situation and rules in our country, it’s too hard for us to be in a marriage and continue our achievement. The most stupid reason can be this: I can’t go to another country without my husband permission. And at the same time there would be a lot of mental reasons. Cuz men are more free than women here. So i prefer not to get married till 28.

I saw the clip about latinas on TikTok and i was like wait what? came here and watched the whole thing (great podcast btw) and then Sergio goes: Colombians are the craziest, and im like WHAT! Well... maybe, but not ALL COLOMBIANS, there is a between! I, for example, am not the most docile but I am definitely not crazy. You just need to have your shit together.

Lmaoooo first of all every Latin country’s Spanish is different, we can understand each other for the most part but we also have words that are very different and the Spanish they teach in schools is the the proper one from Spain. But yes us Dominicans make up some of our words 🫣lol

Quidproqou is illegal and none of you guys are going to date a victora secret girl so that’s unrealistic. If a woman needs to flirt to get the job that’s not for her the pressure will increase if she gets hired

20:41 It’s so interesting that Matt ask the question of allowing your partner to kind of act single because the hard thing with this is that your relationship would have to be at a point where you could trust that the freedom you would give your partner with pre-determined boundaries wasn’t going to entice them into thinking they would be better single and without you. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️
