Thank you Desi! I've always loved this song and especially the guitar! It was great to see you break it down like that! And really nice stuff on the solo, even though it wasn't note for note to what Chris Hayes played, yours sounded awesome too! I look forward to the day you do learn the solo note for note and share it with us! Great job as always!

Nice. What is the pedal you're using to get that sound after the intro?
@desisernaguitar4 ай бұрын
Just a clean sound with reverb and chorus effect during the verses. Maybe some delay, I can't remember. My Strat style guitar was in pickup position 4, which is the neck and middle pickups together.

i kinda got lost around the 11 min. mark (with all the numbers, names, etc...) up to the solo ?

Yeah, it gets confusing, especially if you're not very familiar with chord construction. Consider one of my books such as Guitar Theory For Dummies.

It's so much more fun when you figure it out on your own. Even if you get a Lil help from a ffriend

Why does everyone "chunk" on the intro riff? It is a single hit riff. The bass does all the chunking. A great way to muddy up a song.
@desisernaguitar Жыл бұрын
There are actually (or at least) two guitars on the track. One is chunking, and the other is sustaining. When I play this live, I sustain because the other guitarist chunks. But as you listen to the track, the sustaining guitar sounds more prominent, so I understand why you hear it that way. 👍
