Lately my boss has been making me feel bad because I don't always wear make up to work but I am married and don't have anybody to impress and frankly I don't feel I look bad without it the most I do is put on some lipstick and do my eyebrows. I've started to realize as time passes that make up shouldn't define me and I think it's wrong that she put me down for it considering I'm comfortable the way I am. I really like the message behind the power of make up videos and I hope more girls learn to appreciate their true selves. What's inside is what matters❤️✌🏼️

Easy to be confident without makeup when you haven't experienced bad acne your whole life. I am always breaking out and have a lot of scars from past breakouts. I've been on several medications but they didn't help like I wanted them to. It's so, so hard for me to feel good in public without makeup. It also doesn't help that I'm 21 years old but look 14 without makeup. I look young with it too but not quite as young. My skin is my #1 insecurity :(

+Veronica Lloyd Actually, I had terrible acne in middle-high school. I was seeing a dermatologist and on medication and really strong topical treatments that had my entire face and neck peeling. After that nightmare, my skin did not get better at all. So girl I know what you're feeling! The reason most people feel uncomfortable about being makeup free in public is because they care too much about what people are thinking of them. Not sure if you watched till the end of this video to hear my message on why I decided to make this video, but I want to encourage you and others to stop caring about other people's opinion! There's so much more to life than just looks!

+Veronica Lloyd Veronica I had the same issue as you, once you learn more about how your individual skin reacts with different products, you will get better skin. It actually all starts from nutrition on the inside though.... I never use to believe it but nutrition was the only thing that helped me skin clear up...and yes it is easy to think that people with good skin have it easier, but EVERYone has their own insecurities...I really dont like people seeing my brows but I do it...cos I've learned now.... we are all human, and it is what matters on the inside... people dont remember how you looked, they remember how you made them feel xo I saw so many dermatologists and none of them had a long term solution. so I would say do all your research, go see a doctor, avoid drugs that will give you side affects, natural alternatives are always more long term...& good luck!!!

I had really bad cystic acne last year (after having clear skin my whole life) and I got really down on myself and on how I looked, especially at school because we weren't allowed to wear makeup at all. But I realised that my friends didn't even mention anything about my skin because they really only cared about who I am as a person, what I say, and what I do. I know you shouldn't base your confidence on what people think about you, but if you surround yourself with people who you know love you no matter what you look like, and don't make fun of your insecurities, it helps a lot with learning to accept yourself more. So surround yourself with good people, and focus on who you are and not your skin xx

People feel the need to call others ugly only because they don't like themselves.. I used to be extremely insecure and although I didn't call people ugly or necessarily think they were, I often didn't like girls who I thought were much prettier than me..it kind of made me sick to my stomach honestly to see someone look so pretty and put together when I hated to look at myself in the mirror. But since I've gained confidence over a few years and learned how to take better care of myself..and accept how I look and realize that it's ultimately not that important..I no longer feel the need to judge people in my head. I haven't felt I sick to my stomach from looking at a prettier girl in a LONG time. How pretty they are is not something I worry about anymore.. 😊😜 the goal of this story was to say not to worry about it.. They've got their battles and might be amazing underneath the insecurity..
