All these videos with Todd are seriously the best. Watching the love of teaching the game of golf by both of you guys is infectious and fun to watch. Need more. This is GOLD.

The point that if your weight is already in your heels when the club is halfway back then all you can do is lift your arms is an insight I’ve never seen mentioned anywhere else. Very helpful!

@porzakgolf, 1 year ago I was at best a low 90s golfer. After watching your videos and applying the principles, I can proudly say I hit my first round on the 70s (77) and finally have confidence in my ability to execute shots. Thank you so much!!

One of the things I love the most about your instruction in the level of detail you go into regarding the topic at hand. For example, you will see and hear “have the weight over the balls of the feet” or “ have the hips over the ankles” but not many instructors will actually walk you through how to achieve that, even the tip about having the leg straight and going from heel to toe is something you’d never hear in mainstream instruction.

This series is by far the most in-depth about the process of the setup. With you helping me with my setup and explaining the rest is basically turned to the top everything works from the ground up. You taking me from 90 to hi-70s. And a few short months. I just want to say thank you very much.

Hi Adam. I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for the incredible impact your online golf lessons have had on my game. As a golfer of over 50 years, I've spent a considerable amount of time searching for someone who truly understands the nuances of setup, posture, and grip in the game. As a physician, I knew the limitations on shoulder rotation starts with a poor setup. Despite the importance of setup, no teacher in person or the internet spends much time explaining the details. Your teachings, along with Todd Sones’ have been instrumental in deepening my understanding of this game that I've been passionate about for half a century. Through your guidance, particularly the hip bump technique and the 10-10 takeaway, I've experienced a remarkable improvement in my alignment, spine angle, and overall performance on the course. It's been a transformative journey, as I've gone from being just below bogey golf to shooting rounds in the low to mid-70s. This level of improvement is something I never thought possible, and I owe it to your expertise. As a member of Morgan Run, a nearby club, I hope to avail myself and my “setup impaired” family to personal lessons in the future. Wishing you continued success.

A very well done instruction video. What sprang to my mind though, what do you say about George Gankas, who often promotes a little more of the upright stance, as he makes it easier to turn around without losing balance? (I know, there are multiple ways of swining and instructing, still interested in your thoughts about it)

Love and look forward to each video that comes out! Maybe it’s because I have longer arms than normal and am 5 ft 9, but I notice that if I don’t get enough knee flex I tend to have a straighter right arm where the right elbow points to the right and not towards the ball. And the club tends to role to the inside on The takeaway and club stays behind me in The backswing. With some knee flex which Keeps me more upright, the club tends to stay on plane back and through more 🤷🏽. Both Scott and Cameron have a good amount while still Maintaining hips over the ankles.

I’m a big fan of Adam and Todd. This is gold! I’ve got Todd’s scoring zone book and “stand to the handle” has simplified the setup for my short game. I would love to know if this also applies to the mid to long irons, hybrids, and driver or is a forward press of the hands required? Also do you have any swing triggers that you would recommend? I’ve experimented with knee kicks, forward press and left should turn but can’t seem to settle on one or another. All the best gents. Lee (U.K)

Hi Adam, a quick question about the bump and back move. When I try to do it, I find that when I do the move it moves the weight from the balls of my feet towards the heels. Can you explain what I am doing wrong, please ?

as you will bend more with a short club (wedge)... as a guide, what club do you have in the video? my feeling is you bent more than I am... and I think that I bend more in the driving range than on the course :(

Anything in the swing that could cause you to throw out your muscles around the thoracic spine?
@RD-mg7jf Жыл бұрын
This works great for me, but one thing I found that I also need to do is have a slightly closed stance. With the stance slightly closed, I found my swing is more consistent and get more distance.

Love all your videos, I’m just unsure about the 70/30 weight distribution - so many teachers advocate 50/50 balanced weight from heel to toe? 🧐

What are your thoughts on setting your pelvis to a neutral position at setup?

I’m wondering whether leg length disparity (probably more than 50% of population) will have any effect on set up. I would think so. In fact, I know so. Thanks

Can’t you plug-in like with a putter?
@bvokey88429 ай бұрын
The whole let your arms hang down naturally doesn’t work so well for me once I get into my mid irons (7-5). Being somewhat vertically challenged at 5’7 with shoes on there is no room for me to relax my arms down while at the same time keeping my clubs lie angle neutral. It only works for me on 8 iron and up. The mid irons are just too long for me - and this is after a custom fitting getting my irons cut down 1/2”.
@MrLewyboy6 ай бұрын
Sounds like you should get a ping fitting and get your lie angles changed
