Lots of people have range or talent, but Ive never heard a bad performance from her over her entire career, which is pretty rare for a singer.

It appears that her label hasn't been getting the profits they expected (especially from her last album) thus they are setting their sights on a different audience ie. The Black community, with an affinity for R&B and vocalists who sing exceptionally well. Hence the RnB sound being emphasized in her new EP plus an attempt to make her look more racially ambiguous.
