Thank you for sharing this. This is a masterpiece of a film in every way. I am now reading the book and finding more about the author.

One of my favourite scenes of Peter was when he walks back from the inspection of the magpie nest, with hands in his back pockets. And all those men, who catcalled him a minute earlier, are silent. It's such a strange, and dangerous film. Dangerous because it leaves us with this ambigious feelings of relief and more. I wish the crew could say more about their work, alas, the moderator was fangirling (understood, and relatable, yet still...pity)

Kathryn Hahn is a huge fangirl with this film! ^^

Yeah, to the point of being annoying. She couldn’t get words out easily a few times; and she also didn’t stop talking long enough to ask- and listen to- Kodi. She’s obviously a sweetheart, but maybe not the best interviewer? What do you think?

It was different than what I was expecting but I can't say that it ever lost my attention. I was quite surprised at Kodi Smitt McPhee's role you should never underestimate people on first look. And Benedict Cumberbatch Was also a great role because at first you thought it was this. And then it seemed to be that and then it felt that he was really confused big time. But it was by all means a Don´t judge a book by it's cover movie. Two hints. Make it to the end. and then remember the beginning. It´s one of those Movies. LOL

with all due respect, what is wrong with the moderator?
@blanchefan2 жыл бұрын
I wondered that myself...at first (especially) she seemed quite intimidated by everyone (especially Jane) and was pressing too hard with uncalled for comments and exclamations. She needs to realize when you've got incredibly talented, professional, highly verbal people around you, that you (the moderator) do not have to try so hard or "perform."

Shame on me. I didn't realize that the moderator was Kathryn Hahn until after the 18 minute mark.

Although I love Kathryn Hahn as an actress she takes forever to get a question out.

I think she is just being fan mode, still in shock with the outcome of the movie and ofks she's is not a journalist since the awkwardness.

Yes, we all get off on beating the horse
@AloutkaKazawa2 жыл бұрын
If you look closely he doesn't beat the horse. He scared it, for sure, but didn't beat it. Waving a cloth, and camera take on did the trick.

And another thing: it's a story about the cattle range in 1925, please let's not 21st century sentimentalism taint the lense. Too many terrible things going on, and scaring a horse for a film is the least of them.

I have seen the film twice and I’m afraid that it was tedious the first time round and even worse the second time round. I watched it for a second time because I thought that I had failed to appreciate its greatness the first time round but it is very turgid and dull. The performances are excellent but the story is almost non-existent. A great disappointment.
