Sound effects in sekiro are one of the best in the industry, parrying, mikiri counter, mortal sword when is unleashed, unhead ape's scream, counter attack a thunder attack, etc. they are so good to listen.

It's the closest thing to an anime game I've ever seen. It's hard to make a game lightning fast because most games don't LET you respond quickly enough. Sekiro has instant input, and it's glorious.

@@Acceler903 genishiro is considered top tier opponent in sekiro. Today 1st attempt reached 2nd phase and got rekt offguard by his welcoming combo then after I ate a pellet he went on thunder slash and I touched ground. And after several tries the final posture break was after reading the thunder, jump then attack to redirect and Rb+Lb to shadowrush + kick then red dot appeared. So satisfying man. This game is AMAZING. Definetely gonna use his remembrance at some point to engage him on added difficulty as training.

@@tushardabi5475 In 3D, DMC 5, the Ninja Gaiden. In 2D, Alien Vs Predator, The Punisher, Violent Storm, Fight'n Rage... Sekiro is fun but combat feels like Punch Out, a 1984 title. It's a Simon Says game, not a technical / proactive / tactical one. There's not much depth.

This was probably my favorite mini boss. Challenging, but 100% doable every single time. You can very easily see where you went wrong, and it's just so satisfying when it clicks. I wish I could refight him whenever like I can with main story bosses.

This is fight that taught me how to play the game for real, before this I was afraid of all enemies, dodging and running away constantly and after this I started to fight like a man. Get up in their face and bring the fight to the enemy instead of waiting for them to do the same to you.

Then when I did spend time learning it, I realized the insane thought that went into it, and it improved the experience massively. And yes, I've killed both the demon of hatred and inner Isshin with no damage at this point 😂

I kind of agree with both of you. The game is... Ridiculously hard on the first attempt. And that's always a balance where there's a risk of making it too difficult (and for a commercial game Sekiro may land on that side). I honestly didn't really appreciate the difficulty the first time I played. I cared more about the setting and story and found several of the bosses to be so hard I honestly didn't really enjoy the fights. It was with the added boss run patch where it finally clicked for me - having the chance to keep battling the bosses without having to go through the full game was when I actually picked up the beauty of the mechanics. That, and way too much time on my hands 😂

I just finished my first playthrough last week without watching a single youtube video about it. Now saw that there are actually 4 endings lol. I started my playthrough #2 yesterday without kuro charm and planning to ring the bell of despair all throughout the game since my friends told me too. Wish me luck!

​@@Palatard And it's a fun one. Player can 1v1 him, with Bloodsmoke or Bestowal Ninjutsu if desired. Player can 2v1 with Puppeteer. Or player can 1v2 for silly challenge boost. Good variety in how you want to set up the fight. I enjoy the fight enough that I'd have been happy with a third Seven Spear hidden somewhere in mid-late game.

The sound design in this game is amazing, it makes successful fighting so much more satisfying. I think one of my favorite things in the game is parrying 2nd phase Guardian Ape, where he stands up really tall, raising his sword above his head and then slams down on you. You parry that thing and it FEELS like you just got knocked back by a giant ape.
