I have commented for some time now about wanting a laser cutter that, while powerful and efficient also has fire safety features and implements a z-axis for autofocus and leveling. When Atezr contacted me with the specs for the L2 36w laser, it was like they made it for me. I think this will be ideal for my next metal project for our channel. Atomstack makes an enclosure for diode laser that is elevated. You just remove a small panel to put in the rotary. Could you test that with this machine? It's model B1.

Can i run the machine without any internet in case i use it in the garage or when the company goes under and the cloud stops working? And how does it cut and engrave acrylic. I heard that the wavelenght of the laser is important for what materials it can cut. It seems to depend on how well a material is absorbing the wavelenght. Now that you even have a small fleet of lasers, will you use them and all your other machines to build things from scratch regardless that not every viewer can do it? You build fantastic things. I think you hold yourself back. Embrace the Omnissiah. Let the machine spirit guide your path..

As with all machines, I'd opt for at least a smoke alarm in the room and a (suited!!) fire extinguisher nearby.

Can you tell me how to turn that cross hair on and off? Mine does not come on and I need to know if it's a problem with the machine or if something got turned off some how?

@@YourGeekFix well... It is crazy fast! When it's adjusted correctly. Seems my auto focus sometimes takes 2 times to work. No big deal. But my biggest issue is when I try to frame my piece it jumps to some random position on my work area. I'm still trying to figure out the settings on Lightburn for it. When I hooked my ORTUR up to Lightburn it worked with no issues. Any suggestions?

We bought just about every option for this unit but the extension and hood....Were not very happy so far, one of the X rods were not mounted in its socket and would not fit even with the screw out of the socket, had to be hammered in. The unit was scratched up, when I contacted support they said...oh sorry. We paid $1600 for this unit and it seems to have software issues and it will not autofocus and tech support is useless....I really regret buying this unit.

I watched your video. What program did you create the file in? Also, have you connected it to a computer to calibrate it yet?

@@YourGeekFix that's the file Atezr put on the mem stick. I have been using it with lightburn and can't get it to autofocus with the Z access enabled.
