Careful though, the placebo effect can cure symptoms (Pain, depression...) but not a desease. Don't throw away your medicine in hope that placebo might cure your cancer !

@@illunis8273 One healing I had once was with a cyst the size of a golf ball in between the cavity of my knee. It was as hard as cartilage and within an hour I seen it disappear before my eyes. I learned to do that from Pentecostal churches. Though I don't believe in it at the moment It is a very real and powerful phenomenon at times. The most i have ever seen. I had healings as well as many other people. To this day i still struggle with trying to understand it because there was a lot of INTUITION and what really appears to be some real kind of connection with what ever you call it (spirit). He or they are very forgiving but according to the church very demanding too. I even feel like i am stabbing that spirit in the back for denying it and trust me i am as skeptic and scientific as one can be. It is all about personal experiences. No one can entirely change your mind or my mind if they didn't have the same experiences as us. That is why I don't entirely ridicule Christians because even though there may be many errors in their bible and their scriptures it is so confusing esp for simple minded people. Some of them are a lot smarter than you think. They see it as being something you can't explain. Like magic.

I was part of a clinical trial and my health declined. I've thought for years that all I got was the Placebo, but I can't know that for sure. I had to drop out of the trial due to the emergency state of health I found myself in.

Regarding clinical trials, a double blind study with a placebo is gold standard. But think about it, would it not be better to trail a new drug against the accepted best treatment rather than against a placebo. Placebo trials only tell us that a new drug is better than....Nothing! That a new treatment is better than the accepted best treatment rather than taking nothing seems to me a better option
