The Powerpuff Girls: Review/Retrospective (EAM)

Well, I grew up with the PPG. I just remember sitting through the Smurfs, Dexter's Laboratory (maybe another video to do later on?) and Pokemon just for this show to come on. And I was driven nuts by all the Johnny Bravo trailers. They were always there for some reason, I don't know why they were pushing that show so much, but I never watched it anyway (but maybe I should have, it looked good). That was back in 2000. Good times... And oh no, that Very Special Blossom ending screen! Don't make me look at that, it still haunts me. Oh well, it's more haunting with the other two glaring at her. And it certainly didn't affect me the way the end of Twisted Sister did. Season 2 was a really good season, but it probably produced the weirdest good episodes. Surprisingly, those two things bothered me far more than anything in Speed Demon.

I grew up with the original Powerpuff Girls and Dexter, and they were two of my favorite Cartoon Cartoons.

it isn't the "Original" version, it is just, there is no newer version, that new one is NOT the Powerpuff Girls, it is some cheap ass cash grab banking off of the sucess and legacy of the original, I just prefer to think it doesn't exist... except the T.T.G. crossover, that was pretty good.

"Him" isn't just the devil... he's also santa... Satan claws but they weren't allowed to use that name... much like the red guy is named "the devil" in the pilot, but they weren't allowed to use that name. though he is just the devil

Did you know: The Rowdyruff Boys were not the only counterparts of The powerpuff girls that were planned to appear in the show. The PPG comic called Deja View, features parallel universe counterparts of The Powerpuff Girls called: The Powerpunk Girls. Their names are Berserk, Brat & Brute

I’d love to, but after SpongeBob, I’d feel exhausted doing any other 100+ episode show. If I ever do reviews of FOP, I’ll divide the series into two halves, one for the Oh Yeah! Cartoons and Season 1-5, the other for Season 6-10.

The Rowdyruff Boys are the most memorable villains. They were created to complete the old nursey rhyme: Girls are made of sugar, spice & everything nice, whereas boys are made of snips, snails & puppy dog tails.
