"When I'm in Asia, I'm in my happy place and I get superpowers." And how! Congrats on your first world cup medal today! So deserved after an incredibly strong season. So much more coming your way with all your hard work, I'm sure.

I'm the guy who spoke to you in the public area about your zone appeal, felt so bad for you afterwards! Was lovely to meet you and watch you climb, and of course was rooting for that appeal to not go through so we could cheer you on in the final! Good luck in the future, you and Toby are absolute Beasts! So exciting to have some solid GB climbers on the circuit, hope to see you next year!

I agree, always stick to stuff you can control. If you can't control a situation, then there is no point in thinking about it. This snippet of information is one of the great truths of life. 😊

Ever since the Olympics, you have been climbing w/ a new found confidence. You could really see it in Koper, Prague and in Seoul. There is no doubt in my mind that you will be getting more podiums and medals. If you get a chance to watch the replay of the semis and finals in Seoul, whenever you come out to climb, the commentators unanimously agree and always make it a point to say that you are someone fans should watch with great interest! Congratulations on your first (of many more to come) medal and podium. You are only getting better and your best climbing has yet to come! Best of luck in the lead competition and as always, UNLEASH THE BEAST! BEAST MODE ENGAGE! :)

What I always am most curious about is the thought processes you go through when projecting a climb, like you did talk about in the video with Louis. Fun challenges of course also are a big thing and great to watch. But your debriefes are really very cool, new and refreshing. Love that format!

A friendly competition with some team GB athletes could be fun. A collab doing Erin McNeice vs Bouldering Bobat would be great to watch and also good for your channel. I always loved the old Catalyst Climbing videos where Louis would go to a new gym and try to flash all the climbs. That would be fun as well

I am into climbing, and learn stuff from Erin, just watching her climb. As I do other climber channels. The talking part is like when I watch chess players go through a game they played. I know how to play, but I have almost no idea what they are talking about.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to go to Prague, and we were gutted for you about the appeal. But we were delighted to have seen you climb, and when you kindly agreed to having a pic taken with her, you really made her day! (although I think we may have disconcerted you by asking about 5 seconds after you’d arrived into the athletes’ spectator zone…)

Thanks for another debrief, I enjoy these insights quite a lot. Looking forward to the Seoul one! As for other climbing videos, I always really appreciate comparisons between pro climbers and good-but-not-great climbers. I think that format highlights the minutia which makes a huge difference, but can take years to learn. Thanks again for the videos!

Really cool to hear your thought after the comps! Personally I always love to watch training climbs too, especially if there's a boulder that takes a few attempts, and you can tell a little bit about what happened, and what you're planning to change for the next attempt, those are super insightful. Also put in as many little Elmo clips as you like, that was such a fun little break from an otherwise pretty serious video.

I was there in Prague and was so gutted your zone on W3 got removed, it honestly didn't seem fair to me after rewatching it. But congrats on your medal in Seoul, that was so amazing!!!
@jimmyrustle165
@jimmyrustle165 3 ай бұрын
When I saw it live I said to my friends it was gonna get appealed and I think it will get removed, but when I watched it after I felt the same, she grabs it and bumps her hand up it before trying to go up with the left, that bump to me shows control but I actually don't know if there's a ruling on moving from the zone with the same limb.
@dorveille1
@dorveille1 3 ай бұрын
@@jimmyrustle165 I looked up the rules. It's about *using* a hold to establish a stable body position. For example, if you just touch a hold when you are stable, that's not necessarily using it for stability. So touching it twice (i.e. bumping) isn't automatically using it for stability either (we've all been there!). In slo mo, Erin's thumb and fingers are slipping at the first contact, and her thumb at least is slipping during the second contact while she releases the left hand, goes for the next hold and falls. So I think the judges got it right on appeal, though I would have loved to have seen her in the final.

I just got around to watching the Prague comp and I have to say the decision on the appeal seems a little tight to me. My understanding is that the zone is awarded once it has been used to either achieve or change a stable body position, and watching that video it seems pretty obvious that a change of stable body position is achieved just before the second bump of the right hand on the zone. Of course I am a brit so not exactly impartial 😀

I always felt these "appeal" rules were shit. Here's why they have to be changed. There never can and will be 100% justness. But this afterward-correction bullshit is just annoying for everyone. Anyways, best reaction yesterday, very nice and deserved first podium ❤🎉
