I think this whole conversation can be summed up in a few scriptures but the one that really encompasses it all for me is: “… thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 Steward your relationships well by loving people well and vice versa.

I love these videos. I get so wisdom and fresh perspective. I have never had a Male Pastor or mentor. (Nothing against my or any female pastors or leaders) It’s just good to see and hear men of God that share and be vulnerable the way you all do. After watching the videos I feel just full/fed as I would leaving a service or taking a leadership or development class. Bless you all.

Part of this episode helped me realize why so many pastors these days are with secular women lol. They are marrying for themselves, not the ministry - I’m with Pastor Green on this one. You know how many women/men had to throw away “The Wait” book?! All bc one pastor married for himself then tried to convince the rest of us he made the right choice.
@Lovetovlove954 ай бұрын
@sunnydays6237so true! I get what they were saying though I guess, it just helped me see the thought process behind why that happens. You’re right, the rhetoric can sometimes make it seem like men in ministry are not looking for the typical Christian woman. I think Pastor Green tried to tie it together but they were missing his point. Not sure why the main focus was more so on finding a woman that was not interested in ministry at all, in a way…that just further encourages men/women of God to do the same. Great conversation though!

I always asked myself how can people experience church hurt and leave but get hurt on their jobs, family and friends and stay?
@cassandrathomas19855 ай бұрын
Well Said Bro 👏 👏 👏
@thelucyshow49045 ай бұрын
Most people who experience so called "church hurt" the hurt came from people who are/were in some sort of leadership position or has a role in the church. Whether it's the Pastor, First Lady, Deacon, Elder, Church Mother, Secretary, Treasurer, whomever. So it hurts even more because this person is supposed to be a follower of Christ yet doesn't operate in the spirit of Christ which is love and gentleness. They think their words/actions don't hold any consequences or repercussions because they see it as having authority over you. And when it happens over and over it becomes traumatizing for people. And one thing God doesn't play with is his children. So when you say people get hurt on the Job or in family and still stay. It's doesn't hold as much weight as much as it does for people who know the Word of God and know what he requires but yet doesn't act upon it.

....... people do leave the job if HR can't or won't help them in an unethical situation at the job. Some stay in their places without getting help on how to handle their situation, and THEN there comes church hurt and job trauma. If you don't get help on proper navigation or you don't have navigation support, the spirit of offense can sometimes lie at the door.

Bishop younger you’re so right !
@ChristianaChristiana8164 ай бұрын
Hmm, I've heard many preachers express their content with singleness as Bishop Younger. However, if you're content with where you are in singleness, then what's the point of dating? I think we (the Church) need to start asking ourselves these questions (especially pastors).............because there's the danger of dating without intent. What's the point of dating/having a girlfriend and you're not intentionally pursuing marriage? If you're going to be single like Paul and dedicate yourself to the mission, then do that...but leave the dating alone and don't even have a girlfriend...because you're sending out the wrong messages to the people, setting yourself up for sin....and even if your intentions are pure, you allow your good to be evil spoken of. We can't fool God... He knows our hearts. You can't walk around here having relationships just to be having relationships for convenience and entertainment....yet not wanting to commit to a person and worship the Lord with a marital covenant. This whole "dating life" is not biblical...it's not of God. It's the culture of this country....and we must be careful not to put "culture" over "Kingdom". You all mentioned the fact that there's a large number of believers in the Church who will not marry........and part of that problem (actually the main culprit) is that we've embraced the idea of dating/engaging in relationships with no intent to marry. We've made dating, girlfriend/boyfriends, breakups etc. a coming-of-age norm. We've made it okay to entertain others, give them our time (even years), energy, bodies, babies, etc.with no real purpose. As a result, we damage our hearts and minds with hurt, bitterness, fear, etc., and create so much baggage with children and drama from past relationships, oftentimes ruining our chances of marriage. God never intended this for His people....if only we would follow His instructions. The truth is one should not be dating/pursuing a woman unless he is pursuing marriage. The same goes for women...we should not be accepting a man's pursuit unless we are ready for marriage.....otherwise, you're wasting each other's time and certainly opening up the door for Satan to get in there and throw you off course (into the sea of sin, hurt, and humiliation) and distract you from purpose...from what God has for you. I may sound old-fashioned/old-timey.....but the truth is what it is. If you're not ready for marriage, then you're not ready for everything else....that includes the discreet relationship, vacation trips, games, dinners, overall interaction period. If you're comfortable being single right now and want to marry way later in life, then truly be single until later in life. We can't do things our own way and think God will be pleased. It should be Yahweh over our way. Peace and Blessings
@monicalouis83334 ай бұрын
THIS is 100 percent right. Dating leads to fornication. The church is full of fornication and hopping from one person to another. Some churches one man done “dated” half the ladies in the church in 3 years time date.. break up… date… break up… date… break up… it’s not godly.

I agree with you and it took me 20 years in God to understand this concept. I had friends tell me Faith without works is dead because I choose to wait on God versus actively dating. Ive made too many mistakes. My relationship with God is impérative to me.
