Polarizing fights is the understatement of the year. Izzy’s boring fights weren’t polarizing, everyone who watched Izzy’s vitriol’s snooze fests agreed about how boring these fights were. Romero, Cannonier and Vetori were true cure for insomnia. Pereira brought the fight to Izzy, as Sean’s also did, if unchecked, Izzy would bore us to death. And remember he always promised to bring war, then he never delivered. But the worst was people comparing him to the Great Anderson Silva, this is what triggered me, AS was a counter striker, but unlike Izzy, he always delivered, even his fight with Demian he managed to deal damage on Demian, and Anderson was untouchable, while Izzy got wrecked by Gastelum, Whitaker 2, Pereira in both fights, winning after a Hail Mary counter, and finally Strickland who starched Izzy in the first and made him frozen (like elza). Spider’s career is a once in a lifetime spectacle, while izzy had a good stint and nothing more than this.

Izzy is still a stone cold killer He let that fame go to his head and started acting zesty for no reason. Up until he knocked out Costa , Izzy had that alpha mentality But after that he realised that he could outpoint his opponents with relative ease due to his long reach. I thought that he got his old killer mentality back when he knocked out Poatan in their rematch but DeSean beat him like he owned him for 5 rounds so I can’t think of anything else 😅
