I am a 62 year old madden gamer who has played Madden since the first edition. I bought packs and grinder challenges 24/7 since the release date and had accrued one and a half million coins only to have the coins removed for putting my cards on auction for more than lowest value. I now have a discipline on my record and no coins. This was my first year playing ultimate team. I have played madden for years with a perfect record no bans or discipline problem. I have deleted my ea products and no longer will purchase ea products. I pray that God will put ea out of business and allow a better company to make a better nfl football game. Ea is simply put a very corrupt company that has a monopoly. Instead of improving the game they do everything to cheat the customer and to make more money while blatantly ignoring the madden community. I'll not be wasting anymore time or resources on this product.

Here is the problem with it.... Wait until they hide those exclusive players behind it. Also yeah it's only $15 for the premium pack, but its for a 30ish day season. But that's $15 per season now, so you are putting in $90 ($15x6 remaining seasons) extra on a game you bought for $70. So fuck EA for doing this scummy shit.

Last year I got auction house banned for completing a team diamonds set. They don't want you to overspend on cards, yet they won't set a ceiling, so they ban you for having enough coins to overspend! It's a fucking scam!That was the final straw for me. I'm done with EA.

I miss the days of pro fantasy packs helping me waste an hour or two of my day in menus to make MAYBE 20K in profit by doing sets. Wasnt about the profit it was about the fun. All the sights and sounds of multiple cards had me feeling like Warren Fucking buffet in the stock market but thats all dead now.

I looked at the rewards for the premium pass and they’re garbage. I played the game for free and got 3 season players to the 89 without playing for the first few weeks of the season. So the extra upgrade tokens they give are worthless. Then they give 87’s, but I don’t need those players on my team since I already got free cards of those same positions, so those are also useless. It would basically be paying $15 for the 1 or 2 platinum players they give us. And you’re 100% right about how they force players to pay money year by year. Even on the mobile app, if you click on a card in the auction house, when you click off the card, it resets your entire filter and changes the sorting from “buy now” to “newest”, and the sorting is ascending, so you’re actually seeing the oldest. You can’t snipe shit on there. I don’t even know what they did to the auction house this year because I didn’t play last year, but there are way less cards. I remember when promos came out in Madden 20-22, the auction house was flooded with the new cards and you could snipe or overprice cards, now I look on the auction house and I don’t even have to filter down to see all the cards because there will only be like 70 up. Or at least that’s what it tells me, because when I actually go in and filter it, there’s cards that it didn’t show me without filter, even though the cut off is supposed to be 100 before it stops showing me the newest cards

Fortnite was so successful with micro transactions that it allowed later companies to put them more heavily in their games with people not getting as mad and causing an uproar. People now justify these micro transactions instead of boycotting. “Well you get a lot of value for your money” and it all stems back to Fortnite being the genesis of this line of thinking. And over the years greedy companies have gotten more and more egregious with their actions

I can pick up Fortnite right now, having spent $8 in total over the last like 7 years and have the same advantages as someone who spends $1000s. In Madden, if you're NMS, you have no shot against the whales. It's a different dynamic

Sure it costs $10 for the pass but you would get vbucks or whatever as part of the rewards, so if you grinded the game, it was a one time purchase essentially. Also, the rewards Fortnite gave had zero impact on the gameplay experience. While I do agree that people have been conditioned to these micro transactions, Fortnite isn’t to blame. These AAA game publishers have been greedy for years now, while the premium pass is dumb, these companies have done far worse hence the lack of outcry

This can all be salvaged and become a community favorite with the following changes. Similar to Call of Duty (also a paid AAA title), make the paid pass part of the big pre-order bundle, then include the total cost of the paid pass in MUT points within the pass itself plus a few hundred extra MUT points. This way, it can be a one time purchase for the whole year, but the user can continue to roll forward the MUT points to buy each successive paid pass. Overtime you also build up MUT points that can be used for special offers or other store items as the user sees fit.

EA has a track record of DECREASING THE VALUE OF FREE CONTENT - and that includes pack odds. That’s the problem here, not exclusive players or the value of the premium pass. They will make the regular field pass worse and worse each season. They will make all free rewards worse each season. They will make the odds of pulling any valuable cards outside of bundles… worse and worse. They will have the crumbs they throw us made of stale wonder bread by winter.

No pack strike will change anything. Content creators will always be split which will continue splitting the community. EA will see how much they made off a $15 pass and you are right. People got way too content. If you sit down with a MUT player who is like, "o I only get the small deals and offers" and you tell them to sit down and put the amount of money they spent on all of these "great offers" and "deals" from the whole year; they would have spent the amount of a PS5 Pro with all the bells and whistles. That's being generous btw. It can probably be way more than that. People don't realize how much they are really spending and how much EA has taken away from this game. I have yet to purchase or play M24. First year ever by this point I haven't bothered. I still support folks like Fox and CC but outside of that, I am watching the dumpster fire from the outside this year.

You now have to pay for rewards. 😂 Next they will offer a free card at the end of both field passes but the premium card will have better abilities or stats than the free reward card.
