here in united states we also use "3 by 3" if you are an engineer or in construction , which would probably translate the best to the Spanish version of "3 por 3"

The first is something I did for you...and the second is something I did in place of you( because you couldnt do it ) ? y ¿ Por qué 'fui a la cafetería por comer algo' no es igual a ' Fui a la cafetería para comer algo' ? 3:02 , este es sexto función ?
@bebeteaux4 жыл бұрын
" Lo hice para ti" (Finalidad, intencionalidad.. Like a birthday cake). "Lo hice por ti" ( Motive, cause... Let's say you dare someone to do something to prove that she or he loves you) "Fui a la cafetería para comer algo", means you have the INTENTION and THE PURPOSE to quench your hunger. We don't say "Fui a la cafetería por comer algo". ¡Never! But you can say: " Fui a la cafetería por algo de comida"

I think there should be some English to teach the differences in the intentions. I watch the easy German as well and they give good explanations about the differences in English so we can better understood. 🙂

En el ejemplo "Daría lo que fuera por vivir contigo" por qué no se usa para? No es una causa sino un fin :/
@creativechuckofficial7 жыл бұрын
The Hollow Man Buena pregunta, en realidad es un deseo y podría caer en la función de intercambio. Daría ‘x’ por tener ‘y’. Si usas ‘para’ no es incorrecto pero no es muy usual que se diga así.

I don't understand the difference between "lo hice por ti" and "lo hice para ti".
@lucasschwarz42366 жыл бұрын
Hey, from Argentina! In Spanish, prepositions "POR" and "PARA" introduce different meanings. It's hard to get the difference since in English they use the same preposition ("FOR") in the following two cases... look: (i) "Lo hice POR ti" can be translated as: "I did it instead of you". It commonly means that you did something that supposedly the other person had to do. For example, "I did your homework for you (I did it for you)". In Spanish, "Hice tu tarea POR ti (la hice POR ti)". In cases like this, you should never use the preposition "PARA". (ii) "Lo hice PARA ti" is used when you just did something for the other person. For example, I made a cake for you (I made it for you). "Hice un pastel PARA ti (lo hice PARA ti)". In cases like this, you should never use the preposition "POR". I hope it was clear enough ;)

In English and in German there is no difference, but in spanish there is
