The Preserved Bible is a documentary explaining the doctrine of preservation and why the Bible has been preserved. Additionally, the film explains through history, scripture, and interviews why the King James Bible is the preserved Bible in English today. God has providentially preserved the Hebrew, Greek and English Bible for us today. Christians need to understand why the King James Bible is different than the other versions.

If you are having trouble understanding, the ESV is a decent translation. I know this video says KJV is the only true Bible... it is very good and I suggest it only for study, but for a beginner whose first language is not English I understand you may have problems. NKJV or ESV would be great, but only use it to read, once you are saved and need to study deeper into God's Word the KJV is best. I don't think we should not allow people to use another translation if they are under hardship, as you are. Of course many would argue with me... that is fine. :-) They are not the judge, only God is judge. I send my blessings from Knoxville, TN USA and pray God will bless you with help and understanding. Always pray to the Father for understanding, in Christ's name.

For years I was an NIV guy who only cracked the bible during group bible studies. I was told by many the KJV was for the seasoned bible reader because it was hard to read. It wasn't until recent years I began to take scripture reading into my daily life. I accumulated several inexpensive versions including KJV to see what I liked best. Low and behold, the KJV flowed through me like no other. It's what I settled on and it made the other versions seem watered down. A few months ago, I bit the bullet on a facsimile of the 1611 first run in the raw. It is indeed harder to read but it's fascinating to read because I can recognize the scripture having read the modern version. Next on the list is a facsimile of the 1769 Oxford edition in the raw.

My grandmother gave me the choice of reading the kjv or any others that I would like, even as a child I chose the kjv, it just felt 'right'. If you look at the scripture as well, a lot of the wording changes made between kjv and other newer versions, usually paints God/Christianity in a bad light. Like bits about beating your 'slaves' even though they were called servants in the kjv and they were paid.

I know there are more books out there. I was listening to a teaching on wormhood and the guy quoted 2 Esdras which is relevant for our generation. I realised through googling that that book was part of this KJV with apocrypha. Praise God. The *King James Bible* is the Authorized Version, and the rest are unauthorized. This is the only version that anyone can print without requesting permission from anyone and without paying royalties to anyone. Why? Simple! The Word of God has no copyright. Another thing to note, is that all translations respect the *KJV* (whether intentional or not), because the new versions do not compare themselves with each other; they're too busy comparing themselves with one book-the *King James Bible* (This fact alone proves that there is something very special and unique about this specific version.). No matter which new translation you choose to read, it will indubitably point right back to the *KJV* by it's very structure alone (all *Bible* verses-without question-follow the *KJV* verse format). The Holy Ghost has shared with me a very special proof that the *KJV* is the Word of God (via 3 signs found only within the very structure of the *KJV* scriptures itself), but I only share this miracle with Christians in person, because it is too difficult to illustrate it via text alone, and it requires *Bible* software.

Switching versions gets very controversial. Especially when translating from the Hebrew and from the greek. When they change words the words in the KJV are meant to be specific and translate from Hebrew and to Greek to exact words. When the word start changing then those translations of certain words and when you start to do word studies things get convoluted. I'm a fundamental Baptist but for 32 years I was an absolute Heathen living like hell. When I got saved I didn't just trust any Doctrine I really wanted to dig into which version of the Bible was the most accurate and would give me the best word study, line upon line precept upon precept common I'm not found anything to ride with the King James version for any reason. This is where people get messed up and led astray. I'm not accusing you of such a thing but I'm just saying we need to be very very careful with God's word. Every word every piece of punctuation and every jot and Tittle literally matters when it comes to interpreting the scriptures. One interpretation but many applications

Those who mock the KJV Bible are either ignorant of it or are willingly ignorant of it, not knowing that it is the only version that teaches the gospel is for us to repent, and then to walk after and keep His Law, the Ten Commandments, which we do by the power of the Holy Spirit, Whom we receive when we confess and repent of our sins, with godly sorrow, upon hearing/believing in Jesus' testimony: life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. I am not a KJV-only adherent, but I’m finding this documentary to be quite good! I do have a question: the first third of the documentary is spent celebrating those “brave souls” who, when Latin was no longer the common tongue, were willing to face calls of heresy in order to translate the Bible into the common “vulgar” language. But isn’t that what modern translators are attempting to do? Old English is no longer the common “vulgar” language of the western world. Isn’t the effort to bring the Word in a language the common man can understand a good thing? I’m not trying to argue; I honestly just want to know why one group is celebrated while the other group is called out within the same documentary.

First...Could I be Wrong? ABSOLUTELY YES! But, ALL others, Could be Wrong too! Thus, I believe now Kind Sir Pastors this... I have researched Bibles deeply; for the Last 17 yr; of my 92 Yrs old age. And, f Christians do not know; what happened over the last 2,000 yrs of "English Bibles"; they would go crazy; when they learn; how the English Bible were written and published, to this day. IE... The differences of KJV vs NKJV; had MANY changes. Also, there are 3 major KJV's from 1611 AD, until 1885, until 1973 AD! Where there were MANY "Corrections". Oh yes. Most won't believe that, but it IS True. For... The first KJV Bible in 1611 AD, was called "The Original"! And believe it or not; it had 80 Books (NOT 66)! "39 OT's, 14 Apocrypha's and 27 NT's". And the 80 books in the KJV, stayed that way for 274 yrs. Then they published an "Authorized" KJV, in 1885 AD. But with only 66 books! And 88 yrs... Later, in 1973 AD, they created the NKJV. And millions of the "Elizabethen Words; were thrown out! From Gen to Rev! Believe it or not. And again, untold errors, were corrected again! And after that: Bible Translator and Scholars published 2 New more Bibles; that are said to be; "The most Accurate Translated EVER'! The first, was the NASB in 1972 AD. And the NIV in 1973 AD. Now, the "New American Standard Bible"; was translated "Word by Word". And the “New International Version” was translated "Phrase by Phrase". So, they suggested: to "Use the NIV; unless you are VERY UP on the English language. Because the NASB, gets hard in many places, to understand; IF not up on the English language". End of Story and I rest me case... ...in any case Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Great video! My favorite English bible translation is the KJV, for sure - And God has most definitely kept his word alive throughout the generations. However, there are some issues with this video, especially, ironically enough, with it's treatment of the word of God. That being said - I 100% agree that the KJV is the best version! The scholarship in this video and logic is quite good. Earlier does not mean better; the originals are gone, and likely included all the verses scholars say are missing - those manuscripts that were missing the verses were likely not in use because they were mistaken and set aside or thrown out. But the mistreatment of certain excerpts of scripture is quite disturbing. I too believe in the preservation of God's word - let us not mistreat his preserved word. 1)Psalm 12 is talking about God promising to take vengeance on the wicked, and saying "I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. 6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times."(Psalm In context, He is promising his words saying he will set the poor man in safety from him that puffeth at him are true - NOT the providential preservation! Do not rip the Word of God out context! Otherwise you stray from exegesis into eisegesis, inventing and adding to the word meanings and thoughts that are not Gods. 2) Not a scripture misuse, but a scholarly point. The Authorized version is referred to as such because it was AUTHORIZED by King James to be used by the Church of England, not because it was popular as one of the pastors claimed. Just a little wrong there. 3) Psalm 33, again, let us look at it in context. Here is verse 11 and the ones around it, from my favorite version, KJV: "9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." Here it speaks about the "counsel" of the Lord, comparing it to the "counsel" of the wicked, how God's counsel stands forever, it draws a parallel between the "counsel" and the "thoughts" or "devices" of God and man, respectively. Is this speaking about the text of the Holy Scriptures? Yes, AND NOT ONLY! It's talking about His law, thoughts, counsels, plans, devices, the LORD's ways - "he maketh the devices of the people of none effect" is that referring to non-KJV translations? or is the counsel of the heathen referring to false teaching in general? If you read the whole psalm, it compares the Eternal and unique nature of God to the weak temporal nature of sinful man, and is not a prescription of providential preservation. Now is part of that his word, so this argument for the interpretation of it as counsels is not necessarily incorrect, but is rather limited imho. Taking a verse and assigning meaning instead of reading it wholly to acertain the message of the LORD is not good practice and is dangerous to the flock. Please pray for guidance, if you are doing this. There are other verses that are better. Isaiah 40 and Psalm 119 work pretty well, and you brought them up. then the logical arguments are powerful. Peter's epistle, that quote, that is pretty good. As far as Ruckmanites.... bro. Wow.

The book of the LORD has to be available in the end times… English is literally the most common language, spoken practically everywhere. God knew that was going to happen. To believe in God and to also believe the Bible isn’t 100% doesn’t make sense to me… MANY (not all) unbelievers will mock, but they’re not who I’m talking to. Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. The 1612th mention of "LORD" in the KJB is also in Deuteronomy 16:11. This is very significant because the 1611 edition of the KJB was only published in massive folio size- printed for the pulpits. There's no way you could lug one of those around all day. The quarto-sized Bibles, much smaller, printed for the common man, were first published in 1612. So it's pretty amazing to have both the 1611 and 1612 mentions of "LORD" together as the 7th and 49th words of this verse. The Bible for the preacher. The Bible for the common man. The Bible for all. You will not find this in any other Bible version, only the KJV

Thankyou for creating this documentary. Awesome work! An uncannily similar thing happened with the universal standard tuning of music. It was changed from 432hz (standard A) to 440hz. If you listen to music tuned to 432hz, it's more harmonic and easy on our ears/bodies/brains. 440hz stuff doesn't sound awful, but it's just "off" in a subtle way, enough to make a difference. There are theories surrounding this change - including Satanic involvement, which is akin to the Biblical "revisions". If the KJV is God's pure, harmonic, in-tune "instrument", the modern versions are Satan's attempt to twist, distort, pervert it. Satan is clever, he doesn't "detune" God's instrument so that it's completely and obviously false and unbearable to listen to. He keeps it musical, workable, but slightly dissonant, slightly "out of tune". These micro-deviations seem trivial, which is why they often go undetected, but when compounded over time/space, they can have severe ramifications.

What if you don’t speak English? I love the KJV but if you can’t trust God to preserve his word then learn Hebrew and Greek

They removed several references from the KJV which talk about fasting to make prayer stronger. Seems the enemy wants to weaken our prayers and prayer life by trying to convince us not to fast or by omitting it altogether. Matthew 17:21 is omitted completely and Mark 9:29 takes out the word fasting. I'll stick with the complete Bible, the KJV. Thanks for this video and God bless.

To be clear, it was never removed from any bible. You'll find it in the footnotes. Additionally, many of the "removed" verses are found in other gospels. Lastly, older (seemingly more reliable) manuscripts have been discovered which did not have those verses. They even found where Matthew 17:21 was added by a scribe, it's believed to be done in efforts to synergize the gospels.

@@shawngadwa269 Older doesn't mean correct. If the older versions were correct, why weren't they preserved better, and why weren't they still being used when the 'newer versions' were found? The Sinaiticus Codex was found in a monastery in a moldy basket, waiting to be burned. That is what the newer translations are based on. Why was it being destroyed if it was the 'more correct' version? Say what you want but things ARE removed, even if put in the footnotes. Most newer Christians don't know to read the footnotes and I have had some come to me wondering why verses are altered or missing. The newer translations also changed verses and can actually change doctrine. The NIV has passages that suggest works based faith. If you believe God's word is perfect and inerrant, then which version? They all say a different thing. Some even leave Jesus' and God's name out of several verses and replace it with the word 'He'. Some versions even change the whole meaning of the text. If the KJV wasn't correct this whole time and God didn't preserve His word, then what you are saying is that Christians were living by the wrong Bible for centuries until the modern versions were created. Does that mean they were tricked and aren't saved? If they found an older manuscript today that said totally outlandish things, would you accept it and the changes it would make to the original text? There has to be a point where it stops, otherwise we are saying that God's word is not perfect and is changeable.

@@shawngadwa269 if it's not in the text where it belongs and put in te footnotes with the "other mss add" then you are making the suggestion that it's not scripture and it doesn't belong there. Your argument is weak and Christians that are new to the faith and ignorant of this will disregard the footnotes because they are disregarded in the book.

@@ichitoburrito1359 The KJV says it is changeable why else would Revelations22:18-19 be there. The new testament is mostly letters to churches and the bible was not written in Chapters and verses. The first Bible to use chapters was in 1382 and then later subdivided into verses The first English Bible to be divided into verses was the Genova Bible. Although chapters and verses make it easier to read and find references faster it also adds possibility that some text was left out , changed meaning because of division. The habit of reding a single verse is the worst thing possible because some verses can have a lot of meaning when not read with the entire chapter

I just want to point out this one thing. Anytime I see a lighthouse combined with bible documentaries, history, teaching and Bible studies, I get very nervous. Simply because the first thing it calls to my mind and memory is "The Light House Publishing" and that is not to be trusted in Christian Salvation Faith
