Listening to rock and pop since I was a kid way back in the 70s, every time I hear the Pretenders I think that Chrissie is the greatest rock performer that ever lived. Her soul, style, attitude, voice, and musical and lyrical quality are all just amazing. Feel fortunate to have seen them several times over the years.

Fun fact - Chrissie was a music journalist who decided she needed to put up or shut up and formed her own band, The Pretenders. She is responsible for writing most of the band’s catalog. She’s easily one of the greatest musicians to ever front a band. The Pretenders were inducted into The Rock Hall of Fame in 2005.

I had really no one when my mum passed away ok i had some family there but no one just to hold me at that time, then i have been moving around and ended up homeless and ended up with heart failure and now waiting for a major op and still with that no one there just to give me that hug and tell me that what is in that song
