I believe that the original version was done by the Persuaders in the early 1970s. It is also a wonderful, though very different track and worth a listen. Chrissy did a remarkable job of taking a song written from a man's point of view and making it work totally naturally from a woman's. Her phrasing on vocals is always great but on this one it's perfect.
