Playing with violets today, making sure to use different values, lights and darks, (more water-less water) Mostly wet on wet, although before adding in the yellow make sure the violet is dry or it will mix and give you mud.

Oh yes…on my to do list! I finished the protea and it looks pretty decent. As to Artisto paper, I could probably buy it from Amazon UK. But with our third world currency, customs and handling charges, it would be extortionately expensive. We trade extensively with China but for some reason that doesn’t include art supplies. Most of ours come from Europe with one or two from Japan or Korea. SA doesn’t get anything much from the USA.

@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy the summer heat is taking it toll on it, and on me too, and it isn't award quality, but I do enjoy puttering around in it...apartment living doesn't allow for more than a limited amount of space for growing and it is a mixed collection of perennials, annuals and vegetables. I am blessed that the apartment complex allows it...🙏😊

@@marybarton5651 for many years all I had was a very small patio and I had pots absolutely everywhere and makeshift pieces. I would put dirt in and flowers basically anything I could find a Goodwill and thrift stores. Small patio definitely challenge you to use your resourcefulness. An imagination don’t they?

Both! For the most part flat though. If I'm working on a washy background, or going for an abstract with drips I will have my paper slightly tilted.
