Cindy Lou Who.....is one of the best female singers in rock and metal. Seen TPR several times and never disappoint.

Taylor is such an underrated singer. Love her voice which is sultry and as seductive as it gets!

Taylor is an absolute badass. She doesn’t get the hype she deserves. If you haven’t listened to “witches burn”, It’s FIRE (pun intended) The acoustic version of “Going to Hell” is marvelous ❤

While The Devil Went Down to Georgia is the song you were thinking about, *this* song is based on the story of blues guitarist Robert Johnson who legend says sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads in Clarksdale MS in exchange for musical talent. Johnson wrote a song called Cross Road Blues about it. Cream / Eric Clapton wrote the song Crossroads about it back in the 60's. So when you asked if it was a cover, it's not, but the *story* has been around in rock and blues lore since the 1920's.

Husky is a good word to describe Taylor's voice. Her natural rasp adds a ton of flavor to TPR songs. I didn't even know their music, honestly, until The Warning (who I'm a huge fan of) opened for them and Halestorm on a tour in 2022. I became an instant fan. Fun reaction!
@josephoconnell9052Ай бұрын
I think sultry is the word you’re looking for to describe her voice, especially in this song. Guitar riff at the beginning has a Queens of the Stone Age vibe.👍🏻🤘⚡️

Big fan of TPR. I discovered them when they opened for Soundgarden on the latter's last-ever show (5/17/2017). Their song "Oh My God" kicks your ass in double-time, but also slows down enough to make you realize you're dizzy and bleeding.

Maybe it’s just the way my brain works, but this is such an obvious metaphor for signing with a record label. I mean, there’s a rant written by Courtney Love of Hole back in the 90s I immediately thought of when I heard this song. Because I doubt it’s gotten any better since then.

You're absolutely right about feeling Eerie about that song and I think I know what it is it's that they're using a lot of standard key words that would be rock type balance a stolen certain parts of other rock ballads and songs that were written and kindly used them a hook Napoleon to the song and quite a few of the Rhythm parts are from other songs I believe
