Fun Fact; Bonkers was supposed to debut a week earlier, but it was malfunctioning, so it was replaced by Range Game. (I got that from The Price is Right Decades video game.)

32:23-32:28 an actor you see in the Wolf Lake ad is Lou Diamond Phillips, who would later appear as Henry Standing Bear in the A&E/Netflix show Longmire from 2012-2017

WOW, only 1 second and Joshua managed beat Bonkers for the first time. Talk about a close call and a lucky win. That is awesome.

I guess they forgot to add the price reveal at the bottom of the Bonkers prop by then, hence why a makeshift price tag had to be used for its first playing.
@ckfinke7625 Жыл бұрын
@@mutsortima174 Apparently early installment weridness...they used a price tag the first time the game was played, but then switched to a simple push of a button to reveal the price, only it got stuck on a couple of playings early in season 31.

This episode was aired 3 1/2 weeks after 9/11, and it features the first playing of "Bonkers", a game that is a ton better than the ill-fated "Spilt Decision". The game has a lot of fast paced than "Split Decision". After the first play, a contestant just won.

In my opinion, having Bonkers played first and wasting an audience entrance is not a good idea. Audience entrances are usually for big games, like Golden Road, Plinko, 3 Strikes, and sometimes One Away during his time he made audience entrances.
@NDW854 жыл бұрын
I agree but it could have been worse. Bonkers could have been lost on it's first playing which really would have meant a wasted audience entrance. Also, I guess since it was the first playing of that game, the staff wanted to start it off with a bang.
@graigmellon78744 жыл бұрын
@@NDW85 They realized on the third playing of the game that it wasn't going to be a played first only pricing game. Maybe playing it second though would have saved an audience entrance from occurring unless if it was a big game that blocked Door #2.
@brianlesko17384 жыл бұрын
They even played Hit Me first once before...and wasted an audience entrance.
@graigmellon78744 жыл бұрын
@@brianlesko1738 That would be in Season 20, and I wonder if GSN aired that episode back in the day. Perhaps there was a big game ready to be played but broke down prior to the taping, or they may have just wanted to try something different.
