Watched the musical twice now and you won't be disappointed with what they did with Deliver Us!! Its used in its original form with the entire ensemble but then they also do some special things with it that worked really well. The plagues piece flew by in only a few mins there was only really a focus on the first and last, but they still did justice to the song

All the songs are in the show expect one - playing with the big boys now. Which I was gutted they cut when I saw the show. Yes there are new songs some are ok but others might need to be listened to again. Btw the script is questionable. I hope they’ve changed bits.

Yeah as a BIG prince of Egypt fan, I hate having to confess to being a let down by the whole thing. The cast were faultless and really threw themselves into it with everything. This song was in my eyes, probably the best one of all the originals. The script really threw me, with quite big changes from the film and the inclusion of the original songs did end up diluting the production, with some questionable set design choices and interpretations. I’d still recommend it for fans but my wife and I ended up sticking the movie back on quickly afterwards.

Isaac Wheeler I completely agree, the cast and ensemble are amazing. I question the direction tho, I know they are trying to beef the film out into a 2 hour musical. But I think I would rather a 1 hour and 1/2 musical, it would be prefect for kids. The bits they’ve added and the character no one really cares for them. I’ve agree with you this is the better song, it’s the one I keep going listening too. I’m annoyed they cut ‘playing with the big boys’ favourite song as a kid. I also weren’t keen on the costumes. I gone back to the soundtrack and film.

I was open minded with the original songs but I have to say for me they completely missed the mark - not only were they too basic as you say but the other issue is the difference in the tone and sound of the songs was quite jarring. The original songs fit the theme/story/time period nicely and something that you can't quite put your finger on ties them all together - the new ones I really didn't like - this was the exception but barely
