I just thought that maybe it was planned this way so that Jon Snow could be born, the prince that was promised. A sacrifice had to be made, meaning the spilling of Targaryen blood, during that war and later during Robert's Rebellion. Without that, Jon wouldn't be in the South, wouldn't have seen the White Walkers, and wouldn't know that the time for the great battle had come. A symbolic sacrifice as Azor Ahai. The prince united and prepared people for the fight. And the Night King was killed by a Targaryen blade, even though the final blow was struck by Arya.

Helaena has seen Jon, Robert's rebellion and Lyanna in Jaeharys' funeral. Then, if you stop the first episode of season 2, you see the walls of her room painted with symbols that represent what's coming. Producers are willing to make a Jon Snow show but after HOTD ends and the other one they have in the works too. We have to pay a little attention and see the obvious callings to GOT, almost all of them to Jon.

It may still make sense, as I wrote, but it could have been presented much better. Thanks for pointing out these details. Healena is a tragic figure. He knows what is coming and he knows that it has to happen, that it cannot be stopped.

This was good but Aemond didn't see Jon Snow in the Weirwood vision, he saw Daenerys Targaryen. That noun in high Valyrian has no gender " the Prince or Princess who was promised shall bring the Dawn." As Mellisandra said they each had a role to play. D&D forgot it and had Arya kill the Night King when it should've been Jon. I see no HOTD S2 footage. Hope you fix it.

Don't worry, you are not the only one who has doubts. It's still Jon Snow; what Daemon saw was the birth of the last three dragons (by the way, Rhaegal, Viserion and Drogon's mother is DragonFyre, Helaena's dragon). As a dragon rider and as a Targaryen this information is important to Daemon. However, if you search here on KZbin for behind the scenes of this season of HOTD, you will see Helaena's room where she has taken to painting on the walls the dreams she has. You see references to Robert Baratheon's rebellion, the White Walkers and Jon Snow as Azor Ahai. I think Arya too, but I can't remember.

dany, but the bastard's fandom swears it's him just because rhaegar(fire) had sex with lyanna(ice), when grrm has already said a million times that fire is the dragons and ice is the dead. but Jon never brought stone dragonS to life, he was never born among salt and smoke "dragonstone" (he was born in Dorne and revived on the wall, they swear the brothers' tears were salt lol) he never changed the world or remake the world , never left the north. when dany fought against slavery in essos and saved westeros from the long night. They swear he united the army, but it was just Dany's army in the long night, of the 2400 men who fought against the Boltons, only 400 survived). There are some from the valley that Sansa brought, but we don't know the numbers, probably insignificant. In fact, the bastard hindered the conquest and even delivered a dragon to the Night King in the most stupid plan in the series, unsurprisingly, none of his plans work. aah and there's the whole issue about him being the legitimate heir, since gendry has more right to the throne through conquest baratheon than him, he could only sit on the throne by conquering and for that he would need the support of the noble houses. the north would hate him if he found out that lyanna ran off to marry rhaegar and her people were killed for a lie, dorne would put a price on his head for daring to bear ellia's son's name and the others simply wouldn't believe it because a prince can't overrule a marriage with two children (a girl and A BOY). but that doesn't matter because jon snow only replaced the book character young griff or fake aegon targaryen, probably a blackfyre who will fight dany for the right to the iron throne. Jon/aegon Targaryen is the prince that is promises he was suppose to be the one sitting on the throne after but HBO just screwed up the last season even the people in the show say it , it is said even rhagar knew he was the one that’s why he is named aegon Targaryen even after his previous child was also named that, Jon is literally the prince made of ice and fire and isn’t a bastard is a dragon and a wolf had literal connections to both and that’s another reason drogon didn’t kill him after he killed Dani, Dani just had a role to play in it but she wasn’t the rightful heir, he had the best claim to the throne and he is the last male heir
