Her videos of her playing the texas all state etudes are really impressive. Good story

It’s unfortunate there’s only one blooper reel released per year as opposed to per video.

i learned about her because of her etudes videos, and because apparently, my band director taught her once! he said something that vaguely implied she had transitioned since and was also a little transphobic, so i had to learn more out of spite. glad to see that she's thriving! you go girl, heck yeah!!!

I found her on youtube a while back while she was going by another name. When I noticed her avatar had changed on youtube, I communicated with her and asked if she was the individual I had known in past videos. She confirmed. I've had a few email conversations with her since. Would love to meet her in person. Great trombonist!

Yeah, I’m also a trombonist who’s FTM transgender and I play in 6 ensembles and I’m only a teenager.

There are plenty!!! The ones I've met have been hella good players and people. Really nice to see them find happiness :)

Sasha has my total support. So many many modern trombone players, mostly orchestral but many jazz too are such fucking dweebs though.

Dweebs? You want more professional musicians to dye their hair purple? I’m not against Sasha but calling normal average people “dweebs” is stupid, especially if they’re exceptional players.

You should probably spell check Houghton Horns before posting a video with their name in it.

Great playing! We need more courageous trombonists with unique, independently developed, original musical voices (the concepts that direct one note's connection to the next, which then manifest as 'a recognizable style') which are completely divorced from the constraints of the dominant, plodding, 'chewing' Remington patriarchy, which has for so long limited the evolution of the orchestral trombone soloist. Hopefully the...strength of musical independence necessary to that evolution can be copied by those that enjoy less personal motivation to...explore...the instrument's potential, to dare to become something...'more', philosophically, technically and musically evolved. Good luck with your music!

Personally, the 2019-2020 ATTSB videos were the best. I get that he has the right to do what he did but it’s so saddening to find this out. I saw him at ITF and had no clue it was the same person.
