To see Jeremy Brett again, wonderful!!! He made me fall in love with Sir Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories. I hate he lost his wife and then passed away himself. He was a great talent. I was a child when I first say these shows on PBS. I miss these type of productions. Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple with Joan Hickson, and John Thaw as Inspector Morse. BBC has given us a lot of great works.

What a superb performance from Alan Howard....! Matches...perhaps even outdoes.. Jeremy in their shared scenes. Two peerless actors in top form. Worth watching over and over for any aspiring drama students .

I miss these old tv shows. Hard to find them even on Netflix. Also liked the way they showed the young boys stand up straight and speak respectfully to grown men as though they themselves are also grown men. Nowadays little boys act like little girls because men do not address them as younger men anymore, its sad really. So many kids out there without fathers.

@silentbob8201 I always though Burke had a "Holmes and I just had it off" look in his eyes. He was the silly, playful Watson... Hardwicke is the kind, avuncular kinda guy. Love them BOTH!
