@@kanizfatemaesty2419 so the lock opens once the dial of the lock hits a particular no. from 1 to 100 when the key is turn clockwise and the color green indicates that the lock is open. Now there's 3 way you can lock the door: 1. Spinning the dial for every number and check until it turns green. 2. Spinning the dial from 1 to 100 and remembering for which no. the color turn green, reset the clock and then turn the dial again until that no. reaches. 3. Spinning the dial while the color is red and wait for it to stop. Based on narrators story for one of the door hedge had to spin the dial until no. 96 to get it open so I'm guessing they used the first method to open the door..🙂

Plus my thinking was that a machine could pull this off way faster than a human could. If there had been a lot of doors to go through then I would've also put in a command to check for a pattern to see if the majority of doors were turning green above or below 50. If majority above 50 the then turn right if below then turn left. Repeat in every new building we entered.

It's not just some faceless sweaty nerd narrating how they code, it tries to get people to work it out for themselves - by far the best way to learn how to code! The animation is also gorgeous, and the hint system is perfect - introducing the programming concept but allowing the viewer to figure out for themselves how to apply it. Definitely gonna be sharing this with people who want to learn how to code!

@@andrefilipe9042 I know right??? He seemed to be the perfect kid, even when he did something bad or had a tantrum and whined (which he did a lot), his parents were just like "oh Caillou, it's ok because you're perfect and you did something great!". I was like "why can't my mom and dad do that when I act up??” And he never had any hair, even in the newer episodes, I always thought he was sick because I had a kid in my class that was sick and had no hair (or little hair) but you couldn't tell she was sick until one day she stopped showing up to class 😔.

Seriously guys, this series is a piece of art. A source of inspiration and awe for all junior(beginner) coders. Damn. Our school did not teach coding in a way we find interesting. Well, my aim here is not to insult my school but I have a long awaited wish to change the ed system we have right now. And kudos to the creator who THOUGHT of making this vid. He/she is the actual coder. Cheers!!

One of the best and most beautifully animated and narrated videos not only by Ted ed but, on the whole KZbin platform. Looking forward to the second episode of the series. Absolutely amazing and Ted ed has once again proved it's true potential in entertaining people by fun and logical problem solving riddles. Congrats on hitting that 10 million sub milestone and good luck for yours and Ethic journey ahead.

I'm a cyber sec person who's been programming for years but it's great to see videos like this which don't oversimplify it, but instead explain simple coding concepts in clear and easy to understand ways. There's multiple sources out there which either are directly aimed at kids (things like scratch) which then push away older people and frustrate those with prior knowledge (bad habits being taught or whatnot), or things aimed at people with this kind of knowledge already. This was really well made, and a lovely animation to go with it suitable for all ages and enjoyable for everyone of any skill level.

I really loved this video as it teaches really well for anyone how to get into coding. made a small program in python (*everyone points and laughs*) to solve this problem and it explain it in (some) detail and I know it can be made better, I'm obviously not the best but here we go. # This will tell hedge to keep count of what number hedge is on count = 1 # Hedge doesn't know the lock value but it does know it has one lock = 40 # This will run a loop (for i in range(100): ) that has an end condition of: # if the lock turns green (that's showed as "if count == lock:") # Then tell tell us how many you've counted (print(f" Fisnished with lock number: {count}")) after it does turn green- # then stop (break). however it doesn't turn green (else:) then add one to count (making count equal itself then adding 1) # This was made with Python 3.10 # Made by ChillSeb # You can also change the lock value up at the top- # ( # "lock = 40" I.E: change the 40 to any other NUMBER # (this could work with decimals but it wouldn't follow the outlines of the video). # ) for i in range(100): if count == lock: print(f" Fisnished with lock number: {count}") break else: count = count + 1
