Most people don't care to understand. But they do want to be heard.

Referring to the common man from a Marxist (or neo marxist) perspective without mentioning alienation is a huge miss. Did Bernstein mention alienation? A lot of this sounds like restating Marx's desire to wake "class consciousness"

Really enjoy this. I have a question. On couple of different videos you mentioned community. I think you may have even used the word communitarianism. Could you referred me back to the playlists that cover that? Extra credit if you could suggest some additional authors, websites, social media or blogs. I just now signed up for your blog. I don't expect a huge effort but anything that jumps immediately to your mind would be appreciated.

Robert Flury check my playlists “ Beyond the Liberal Frame,” “Neoliberalism,” and “Wendell Berry.” There is no one good book that summarizes communitarian thought as far as I know but Amitai Etzioni and the Communitarian Network represent left leaning communitarianism and Front Porch Republic contains a lot of center right communitarians.

I would be fine with socialism to the far left if it wasn’t for owning the means of production, which would predicate To now owning the capital investments for lease, on a commercial property, any production machinery or networks used In that production, R and D costs, all the way to intellectual property and it’s compensations. I would be more preferable to consumer and labor protection quotients, along with state regulations for environmental and Quality control. I just think most of these discussions ignore essential human motivations.

The modern left have total contempt for the common man. He gets in the way of all their boutique policies and demands basic necessities of life. Whilst they're calling for ''climate justice'' whatever the hell that is, he just wants to make sure his kids eat this week. Total detachment. Whats interesting[&frightening] about the modern age is the uber wealthy could in theory become self sufficient, with no need for the common man. This is already playing out to a degree. The Grim Reaper makes a whirring sound...
