I personally agree with you. I used to collect back in the day and went away from it for a while. Now I’m starting to collect again and when I see some of the prices for some of the shoes I’m floored by the prices. However, I’ve learned more so now to be patient and just wait for certain releases to drop or get that grail for a price I deem worth it. Great video.

Thanks man. This comment is very relatable. I never stepped away from sneakers but there were 1-2 years there in 2018-2019 where I bought like 5 pairs total. It just was the same stuff over and over. As someone that bought OG 3’s and 4’s in 1988 and 1989 and actually fell off to come back to the craziness in getting pairs, my sole purpose has always been to wear crispy pairs. Don’t care much for boxes, OG all, etc but all my shoes are crispy as they can be. Saying all this, I say release them all.

I feel you, as a sneaker collector and the hunt for the shoes and deals we put in work for and keep the shoes as new as possible so when we wear them no one else has them on and made us feel like we have on something special is all going away.

Personally, I dont care what shoes other people have/wear. If a shoe releases that i like, and im able to buy it, I purchase it. Im not concerned with the resale value of shoes that I don’t plan on selling. I wear my shoes so i think its great that replacements are being made available.

What's your point lol? It's still about owning the sneaker not about how you got it. Those are all sneakers MJ wore on court, I want them sooner than later. Btw Nike is doing this because the sneaker game is down and they want sales. I am going to double-up on a lot of these sneakers so Nike and me gonna be happy. As soon as the sneaker game is where it was people can hunt their stories again.

Everyone has their own experience and interpretation of sneaker collecting, for me it was about the hunt. There is no hunt now. I’m with you on this bro. I think Nike is desperate to boost their market share and pump their numbers up with all these releases next year. Of course I’m excited af to buy all the pairs I’ve been after for so long, but I definitely agree that it feels weird to just drop them all in one year. Not only are our wallets going to take a massive hit lol but it’s not going to be the same hunt per pair as it was for the older releases.

I understand what you say but also don't think it aligns with the current climate on sneakers. The "stories", deals and conversations with people are long gone and will never return and if they somehow decide to just release 12 shoes next year you would get most of them off a resale platform anyway so... What's there to tell? "I got them off Stockx for $500"? I don't think it's the brand's fault entirely, it's the people too.

Yo man, informative video by the way. However, I feel like you contradict yourself. At first you mention that trainers should be enjoyed by everyone without having to go through hoops and loops to get them, let alone paying a fortune for them. Then on the other side you criticize Nike for dropping all these releases because it floods the market. Remember many just want a decent OG pair of trainers and not having to stab or rob a bank for them. This is why there are so many counterfeits and Reps out there. Shoes are shoes at the end of the day and getting them shouldn't be too much admin. Producing only a limited number of pairs and then running a lottery as if it some green card isn't cool man. I remember working for months straight to be able to buy my first Jordan 4s only no find them in retail. I eventually got them but didn't pay resell price nor did I purchase them retail and they still looked good on feet. Yes, that is right, they were a pair of Reps, and I bought them knowingly all because of this cycle of hype and limited releases bs.

Second of all…Icy Blue Off White Jordans are awesome…am I wrong? Lastly, the only good thing about your opinion about 2025 Jordans, is your Washington fitted cap. Nike is desperate because the economy is 🗑️ which is a W for us true sneaker heads that hate resellers. I respect your opinion but I really don’t care about the hunt if I want a sneaker I can finally get it without having to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to obtain it. The dopamine goes away after you get the pair you want and the cycle repeats itself the hunt just enhances the dopamine and desire of wanting a specific pair for me sneakers are my dopamine and if I don’t have to go through any obstacles to get em even better easy access is where it’s at
