The problem with aftermarket sewing machine parts - Viking, Pfaff, needle threader

Andi, loved this video. I am a certified tech working at a Pfaff/Viking dealer store. I spend way too much time with needle threaders, which would probably never break if people were only taught how to use them correctly! But, thank you for this video, because people think they can use all kinds of generic things on their machines and wonder why they don't work and then blame us or the machine!

I had that experience with a Brother bobbin winder. The replacement part was taller than the original so it didn't work. It was a long time ago on a very old machine.

I have a vintage electric meat grinder that needs a part that's obsolete. I will have to do a work around.

I just purchased a Viking Topaz 50, how do you know if a foot for the Topaz 50 is an original part if it's out of the packaging ???

i`m in Portugal and i have a pfaff vision and since end November 23 i pay to a store who said they will buy one from the brand representation and they show me one with the left part shorter than original, after i go to the representation in Portugal and they show the same piece with shorter left part and still now i`m waiting for the original piece and my money is in the store since 7 months ago. THAT IS A SHIT OF SERVICE . In all our little country only 1 repreesentation with 2 store 350 km far one from another there`s no other place where i can buy it. sorry about my english because i only learn at school.
