The problem isn’t that they’re independent. The problem is the attitude that comes with women who are obsessed with being a “strong, independent woman.” If you’re a strong woman, you don’t need to say it. I have an amazing wife with a great career, but she’s down to earth and is a team player. We both play our roles with no problem.

Agree brother, they earn that "title" with self-claim, they feel so powerful with it haha, they feel like alpha women... Being alpha, because you're all women are acknowledged by society, then it's fine But the problem is with their character and attitude, arrogance is trash for marriage, we're men doesn't accept arrogance, it has nothing to do with "inferior things" Because they can still be independent, but once you're attached to relationship, then you need to be dependent to your guy That's what relationship is for :)

That last bit from the woman sounds like she's talking positive about traditional male roles but don't realize she's still stuck in the modern feminist frame. The young ones fail to realize that equality don't mean equal in the roles between a man and a woman, but in terms of overall value that they bring to the relationship. Men do not give a rats ass if you got a degree or if you're making six figures unless you are broke yourself, but then she wouldn't find you financially attractive anyway. Just look at the table of this discussion, two established men with two young women who is only there because they are attractive. Nothing wrong with that.

Men are not talking about this enough probably cause we’re that low maintenance and don’t give a crap lol. But it should be talked about more. We need men to be men again and masculinity shouldn’t be frowned down upon. Let men be men again.

So I’ve been seeing this a lot lately that masculine men don’t want masculine women. And I know this not to be true. I would consider myself pretty masculine and yet I am attracted to “masculine” women. I absolutely detest small, weak women. Absolutely want nothing to do with them. And the only women who don’t embody small, weak and helpless are masculine women. But this actually popped into my head because they were talking about femininity and masculinity. Of coarse I do look to make sure the plumbing is still there but when I judge a partner or look for a woman I don’t judge her by her “femininity”. I judge her as an individual separated from her feminine. As an individual is she attractive? Is she virtuous? And I think this is the problem. People are looking through these lenses of masculine and feminine instead individuals and virtues.

But to get to that point of seeing if she’s virtuous and those other nontangible qualities your hindbrain selects which girl would be picked for further qualifications. Men and women do it without noticing so the point Rollo is saying is in general(meaning most, not just you) move this way because it’s been studied throughout mankind and men and women have certain qualities they look for from the opposite sex. In generality most men look for the same characteristics like a girl being feminine, pretty, nice body, let’s you lead, isn’t argumentative…etc while women look for taller, stronger men, had ambition, confident, has money or at least something going for themselves, mentally and emotionally stimulative, etc… doesn’t mean all but majority rules, the minority doesn’t scratch the surface for human instinct wiring of the generality for both sexes.
@WhoIsJohnGaltt
@WhoIsJohnGaltt 2 жыл бұрын
@@chris_breezy4961 I disagree. The only situation where your hindbrain has to be used and virtue isn’t the first you qualify and looks are is just out in public. When you have nothing to go on except looks. In any other situation where there’s a common goal like a class, work or just something where there’s something happening that people cooperate towards. Virtue is the first thing being looked at not looks. However this is nearly impossible just in the open public when you don’t just bump into each other accidentally. Physicality is the only thing you have to go on.
@chris_breezy4961
@chris_breezy4961 2 жыл бұрын
@@WhoIsJohnGaltt hindbrain isn’t something that you purposely use, it’s a subconscious process that happens without thinking. It’s wired to us like breathing, you know you’re breathing but you don’t think about it during your day. Humans always make judgment calls at first sight because that’s a trait humans use for different reasons, whether it’s to take affirmative action, be cautious, communicate, etc…we collect data unconsciously in a rapid pace and the concept works the same for dating. First usually comes appearance, then any intriguing factors like lifestyle, persona, and other attributes. Once that’s complete now you actually look at the person for those features that you personally like.

Toxic masculinity is when you shame a man for crying and showing his feelings and emotions like a human being. Not shaming a dude because he's in his masculine energy. That could mean he's a provider and protector. And that is hot. Another form of toxic masculinity is being emotionally immature and that's something men need to work on. Also plenty of you say you don't want an independent woman, but once you have that traditional way for whatever at home y'all get bored of her, to start cheating on her, you don't respect or value her, and sooner or later she's going to end up being a single mother because you abandoned her. And who is that they usually leave them for, an independent woman. At least that's what I've been seen in a plethora of stories throughout the internet. You don't want her to be a boss, you don't want her to be in like making her own money. You wanted her to rely on you, for what? Just to screw her over when you leave? Believe me many women would rather the traditional route, but you men are so unpredictable and selfish women can't rely on that. BTW, you can still be feminine and an independent woman. It's just about having your own financial backing. Plus the things that keep us feminine costs money. An independent woman would have that. And a lot of you men aren't willing to provide that to be funding our beauty/life, or are y'all going to start providing?

I really feel like none of this was really useful. Look, I met many guys in my religion (I’m Mexican by the way) who want to marry me. I’m not very educated and grew up in a traditional religious household. In fact, I was raised to be a submissive wife. However, I won’t marry because most of these guys are not breadwinners. Most men don’t want to marry an alpha female but they also don’t want to be breadwinners. Soooo whether we get an education or not, most men won’t get an education or a build a business. With or without women, men are inspiring to not get anywhere in life and that’s on them. I think high networth women should just get a prenuptial agreement and marry a guy half there age. And if you do, never reveal too much about your career, your income, net worth and file your marriage license with separate tax filing. Also, you should live separately from them while married so they don’t financially mooch because it is what it is. Generally speaking, a man who’s not financially a breadwinner in the USA by the age of 36 is due to emotional instability and financial negligence. He can your friend, but never your spouse. A plan A and a plan B that works. Too bad! 🥴

There is no incentive to be a breadwinner in a society that forces breadwinners to pay for women they don't get to fuck.

Also generally speaking, a women not being in a stable marriage by the age of 20 is due to emotional instability. A woman losing her virginity to a guy she isn't married to in her teenage years shows emotional instability. It shows that she has an emotional issue accepting the fact that the only men who would offer her a long term relationship are the men who are ACTUALLY in her league. It shows that she wants to pretend that men who are out of her league are actually in her league by temporarily sleeping with those men even if she knows they will never commit to her long term before she starts sleeping with them. She can be your side piece, but never your spouse if she is dating around past age 20.

I equate an "alpha female" to a female leader - someone who people look up to and want to follow. I don't think it's so much the "strong, independent woman" thing, but that she is well respected regardless if she is more "masculine" or "feminine." I feel like this episode is full of stereotypes that are not exactly true.

Don't take this the wrong way but I've never looked up to a female in my entire life. I don't assume girls typically look up to men either.

No woman wants a man she has to lead. As a majority this is hardly the case. Anything else is an outlier or an exception. Reason being is because 100 years ago if you picked a male mate that couldn't lead or properly defend your safety your lineage died. We still operate the same way in various aspects. Why else would women as a majority want taller men etc. It was inherent for survival. If what you say is correct we would have had dominant matriarchy's in existence. But there wasn't because they'd be wiped out of existence by a conquering tribe etc. Also most women want a man that is at least on her level if not above her level. In various ways. It's rare that an "alpha women" as you say would have ever had a chance because since the dawn of mankind reality itself has been sexist. All of this stems from a biological imperative for survival. Men are respected leaders because of physicality to be honest. Because if your woman "led" anything and she was challenged the next step would be physical and its a wrap. With man to man disagreements throughout history it came to that since the dawn of man. The only reason really we scoff at this is because we live in a first world country. If our infrastructure collapsed and society crumbled into chaos we would quickly and abruptly revert back to our true traditional roles.
