I think Blackpool is just right the way it is... With lectures, if you cant see it all and want to go see a different lecture.. Thats not Blackpools fault. They give so many lectutes and shows and its not possible to see everything. This was my first year going and for the price it is, the talent available is amazing.. Name another time you will get to see Mac King in the UK like.. Im not trying to start an argument. I just think Blackpool are doing everything they physically can with the growing popularity of the convention... Edit: I do agree about the dealer hall though, a few stands were also too busy and icouldn'tt see half the stuff. At ben harts show though, we stood for an hour to queue and im so lucky to have gotten a seat.

They should absolutely cap the number of attendees. It's health and safety. The convention is now about making a lot of money, for a small group of people, and it's all they seem to care about. Don't forget this year's big increase in ticket price too

I think what they should do do a ticketing system with your number you guarantee to get your moneys worth of lectures It all comes with the price also if people miss out then half the lecture filmed and it will be put on to your phone that’s one way of doing it that’s making your money worth that’s what I think…

I’ll never go to any conventions because of that very reason of big crowds. Magicians tend to lack awareness and manners so I won’t waste my time. I just selectively take in lectures that come to town as I don’t really need more material.

I picked up Emergence last year at Magic Live. I thought by now it would have been released. It is a excellent piece of magic! I have been playing around with it all the time. Great idea! Well made and works smoothly.

Hi Cavan - excited to hear you have great plans for content on your channels. Keep up the great work. Re BMC - You make some very valid points. The problem for me was the queuing… instead of queuing they should have opened the venues sooner to allow the seats to be filled, then turn folk away… I’d accept that. But allowing the queue to build beyond the venue’s capacity and waiting up to 45mins on occasions was extremely disappointing, when you are so close to the door and then it’s declared full, by the security bod. They’ll hopefully hear the feedback and make suitable changes. I’ve been going almost 25yrs and it’s grown year on year.

I never thought about it like that because in most conventions you will miss most panels. Some big cons have queues of a couple of hours, or some kind of ticket system.

It seems pretty common sense that if you know in advance that a lecture hall can only hold 300 people, and you also know how long a line of 300 people is, then you can walk out to that point in the line and plant a sign that says beyond this point you may not be able to enter, queue at your own risk... Then people can see that sign and go up nevermind they're already too full. And not waste their time
