I work as a suicide hotline counselor and 211 operator and have done it for almost 2 years. I have a coworker who's done this for over 20 years. We have NEVER seen a spike in calls like what we've experienced since COVID-19. So many people have called due to losing their job or becoming homeless because of the pandemic. In addition, we've seen a rise in crisis calls and people who are experiencing severe emotional distress. For the love of Christ, take this seriously.
