I can safely say this laptop is not a creators laptop. Got it and took it back 3 days later to get the G14

I did the same only 2 days later. I love the G 14. My productivity on my content creation times was definitely faster on the G14. Plus I got a sweet deal on a G14 which saves me almost 600 bucks which I used to get a dock, a 34 inch ultra widescreen monitor and K65 Plus keyboard. Win!!!!

@@karikaru Yup, or 64 GB. In Singapore, Lenovo charges $100 more when configuring it with 64 GB but if you need it, it’s a decent option.

Ben did you recommend the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i *RTX 4060 for architecture student?? who uses Autocad, Sketchup, 3ds max, Lumion and Photoshop??

For simpler 3d scenes and projects it should do well, as you're a student you probably won't need more than a 4060, get 32 gigs of ram though.

Thanks for pointing out the dished keycaps, few reviewers do. Lenovo makes the best laptop keyboards, but too much light comes out from under the keys, especially when viewed at an angle. I bought a MacBook Air 15, it's keys are dished too, but I love that there's only a glow of light around the keys, so the character stand out more, and the soft white color of the light looks great in the dark. Windows laptops need to emulate this.

macbooks can do that because the keys are far too recessed. Lenovo offers 1.5mm of key travel for pure comfort, and you can't avoid the light leak with that amount of travel. It's just physics.

@@Kids11111 Actually you can. Using keycaps with a longer skirt, would reduce the light from under the keycaps. It would just require tighter tolerances, like on a MacBook. My Lenovo laptops keys, do have much more travel, but they don't come close to bottoming out.

Ben, the Yoga 9i comes with a 4070 and 4060 in the UK, though I cant imagine it changes anything with its performance

@@aaloaalo @BenGKaiser Yes I have been torn between Yoga 9i 4070 vs Legion 7i 4070 and knowing that the Legion is max 140 i believe it gives substantial power and performance levels compared to the yoga 9i, and Im willing to shave 2 or so hours of battery life to achieve more overall power so I'll be buying the legion, though the mini-LED screen on the yoga really made it a tough choice, the Legion is also doesnt have soldered RAM and I can even put 64gb+ ram in it if I want in future

I had gone for Lenovo ideapad pro 5 core ultra 9. Under 1.5 with oled display clicked all my needs. Only downside is sound quality.

@@sakshambindal had issues with loudness while watching Sarabhai vs Sarabhai old series in Hotstar. Now is resolved with sound booster for chrome. For everything else, sound is loud enough.

I'm curious I have a 3070ti gaming laptop, soon going to my fiancé, and I recently picked up the Samsung galaxy book 4 pro 360. I plan on using this laptop for game dev (mainly as I can draw and should be able to develop on this) it's the 16gb version i7 ultra using Intel arc. My question, is how do you...or anyone else reading this...feel about this laptop? Should I be investing in something different with a dedicated gpu? Or what're yalls thoughts.

I like ur reviews and almost I wash all. However this laptop in particular no one mention how pad and on the slow side most of its ports! and this critical part for creators! Fan noise as well.

Thank you for your review. It's really great laptop. But few days cancel order for this laptop because of Intel CPU. With all this trouble with 13th and 14th gen... Don't know how long will last Meteor Lake CPUs.
