Usually it goes: 1. Purchase LS v8 vehicle. 2. Do incremental upgrades due to budget restraints. 3. Drive constantly at 6800 rpm. 4. Suffer engine failure. 5. Buy junkyard LS for cheap, use "savings" for forced induction. 6. DON'T INSPECT the LS. Treat it as schrodinger's cat. 7. Plan for 6 lbs of boost but apply 15 lbs. 8. Blow engine up because piston ring gap was never adjusted for FI. 9. Blame vehicle. 10. Sell vehicle to junkyard. 11. Repeat process from step 1.
@SalvagetoSavage2 жыл бұрын
Then when you get back to step 5, you accidentally buy the blown LS that you sold to the junkyard with your old vehicle! lol

I've been in a classic car business for so long and I always tell people that not all your average mechanics gonna work on it like these guys do. Swapping an engine from a junkyard is like flipping a coin. You might end up with good engine or you're gonna be spending lots of money fixing it unless you're a mechanic yourself. So keep your original 350 small block until you come up with 8-10k and get yourself a brand new ls3 or 383 stroker, 430hp for 6k. 5 years warranty = peace of mind.
@SalvagetoSavage2 жыл бұрын
