I always wanted to wash the engine bay of my car, but I was worried about getting water in the engine. You guys showed me a fix for that; just take the engine out! THANKS GUYS!

Lol, I know the feeling. But you’d be surprised how you can wash it down with it still in there. Just don’t drowned the intake

I got as far as getting hard mounts built so that I could start fabricating my own engine mounts and pleading the front area of the frame in my car accident injury flared up bad and it has been that way for a while. She was just sitting there getting dusty.

💯 everyone thinks 10-15k will get you a good running LS installed but that’s just not the case. Unless you do everything yourself

Awesome build!!! But it would be nice to see you guys do an actual budget build. Maybe do a challenge where you only have a low dollar amount to spend, then see how you guys choose to spend it. It would be great to see how someone with the skills you guys have spend that budget

If our channel grows some more, or if we have more people buying merch we might be able to do that! We're still a working shop, so unless we're doing a SEMA project, what's happening in the shop has to go back out to a customer. We did just start our white C10 project, which is more of a budge fixer-upper!

I just put a 383 stroker in my k20. Im not mechanically inclined, so an enginee swap was a big deal . Im still figuring out little issues. My starter gear was rubbing on my flex plate so I had to get that fixed . Now everything seems to be working nice. Trans, transfer case next and paint ;)

The LS 6.0 364 is still a small block chevrolet and probably only slightly bigger than the engine this truck originally had

Because there was no reason to. All of the rings looked fine and fit perfectly in spec. They won't do anything differently that new rings would do

I get not wanting a old small block anymore. But that 6.0 with that intake in a lifted k10 with that cam doesn't seem like a good fit. Wouldn't the factory truck intake be better?

Did you check crank to bearing oil passage clearance or end play or do you feel you can skip that using OEM standard sized parts?

These truck have dual tanks. Did you replace both sending unit pumps and just show one? Or does this owner just use one tank?

Not my build, but please use proper connection at sending unit by using an 87 sender. It has the correct FI connections. You’re asking for a fire the way you guys did it. Otherwise, great job.

Yeah. But you should really only be adding oil when you're changing it. If you're constantly adding oil to it, it's not built right.

Yes. The truck was fuel injected until the EFI system that was in it started giving the customer headaches. So he went to a carbed set up. We're just bringing it back to what is was as this point!

Those intakes look cool yeah but you lose a ton of low end torque unless you’re boosting it. 😔

So you’re taking out a 383 to install a 359? Why downgrade? Why not LS3 it so you have a 427?

Yup no brains these people own a shop sadly too lmao body lift equals junk let alone went from a 383 sbc to a ls so your making less hp but better fuel mileage with efi still wasting money away...

Don't forget, not only do we have a shop, we also have trucks on multiple magazine covers, selected for battle of the builders for both of our SEMA builds in 2021, and at least one more build going to SEMA this year!

There wasn't any scoring on the cylinder walls and they all sat well within the tolerance limits for an in-service engine.

I have same 87.....still has the anemic 350 tbi... .not sure if i want to sell it...amd get a 70s truck.....or move foward restoring it🤔 whos interested in the tank...cause it rides like one on 35s....5 in lift
