Haaland's brace was enough to beat Brentford, but Man City's pressing left them exposed, and Brentford almost capitalised.
In this video, I analyse the risk vs reward factor of Brentford's play, and why it wasn't enough to overcome Guardiola's City.

Pep knows the best press, he’s just experimenting as usual before we click into gear in march. His 6-7 year success confirms it.. And I feel he’s making teams feel like city is not pressing well to invite them to play more making city slice through them easily.

As Liverpool fan I'm jealous of Haaland but this is how it used to be in the old days as in, many team even when they play shit are bailed out/carried by world class strikers. Now there's hardly any world class strikers, look at Liverpool. When their game plan doesn't work out, there is no individual goalscorer/striker to bail us out. Salah does that sometimes but especially when teams play low block, I really wish we have striker like or somewhat close to haaland.

Grealish irritates me. I don't care what anyone says, he is not good enough. His footballing intelligence is poor. He' been here for 3 years now and still looks like he is learning thr system. Nevermind his passing and shooting qualities, which are both poor. Nice channel and video btw, just subscribed.

On Grealish, I liked him in the 2nd half tbh, that one little flick in particular which found Gvardiol’s forward drive and which Savio should’ve finished was lovely 1st half he was nothing, he’ll never work well unless he has a left footed to overlap And thank you! @@libby4608 it ain't personal dude. He irritates me with his pressing, positional play, his timing, vision etc. He is a 6-7 when the team plays well and 3-4 when the team plays below average. He is a misfit. I am sorry you feel bad for him, but that's my honest opinion. Do me a favor, go back and replay the sequence when Haaland hits the post. Any other player attacks the rebound or runs into the gap. He is just standing there watching. I saw Gundo run into the box a few times when he should have. He is the winger, gundo is a 8/6. If you can't see it, your loss.

I think there are two reasons City were poor. One is that it was after an international break, where almost all of their players had to play in two games. Two, as a result of one, Pep made too many changes. Gundogan, Walker, and Stones all looked below average. And Lewis wasn't played in his best position. I love tactics as much as the next person, but sometimes, the answer to a question is whatever the simplest explanation is.

Arsenal will sit back and soak up pressure with a deep low block for longer periods of the game, and they will try to hit us on the counter. If we can shut down their counters, which we can because we have pacy defenders, they will almost have no chance of getting out of their half, and arteta will have to switch his tactics.
