But i only took what was possible for me to follow, like intermittent fasting , including fresh fruits and salads (did not worry much about organic) ate majorly home cooked food . worked out regularly. And i saw amazing results. Protein la ks majorly in satvik diet i also consume whey protein while in the diet. My point is take what suits you and leave what does not . It is a matter of choice. If you want to be in a meditative state, then we've to embrace its exclusive protocols. If not, follow whatever you had been doing so long, but life will be the same. If you want to change, try what they are saying for say 6 months to 1yr, see the change, then make a wise decision. Nobody is compelling anything. Follow whatever you can but still continue your practice, that will give you enough clarity from within. We don't need to rely on external sources for proof. You are the best proof!

Many people have come to demarcate Satvic principles as standing in opposition to modern/ Western principles of diet and Medicine. As a doctor, I can vouch that I've never been taught about Diet & nutrition all through my MBBS career, which is actually counterintuitive. The fact I have come to appreciate about the Satvic Movement (and I love it by now) is that they don't give you clear black & white rules- they give you principles & ideas, and allow you to modify them as per your own conditions/ convenience in lifestyle. I do agree that they don't use a very scientific jargon - the terminology they use is metaphorical, and to some, might sound silly/ unscientific. But going deeper, i would say, keep your scientific eye alive and yet 'bhawnao pe jaao'. When they say "eat food that is Alive", they mean it to be Fresh, unprocessed, unfragmented, not going into the 'scientific' arguments of when is an "organism" alive and when it is dead. LIVING and DEAD are just metaphorical terms they are attributing to 'food'- not to 'organisms'. And thereby a biscuit is 'dead', but a freshly baked roti is ALIVE. I understood the actual principles that they uphold not through their regular videos, but in a podcast they did with Dr Pal. One can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYjKhK2vhZ11b6csi=1WT1ughW361fMV6i

Eating organic is different than eating right way . Someone can eat organic vegetables in cooking oil like majority of Indians do . Many health experts claim I should not cook oil much ,oil is not given from the nature . Humans are drinking animal milk when it is not made for humans These are the things which take us on big diseases . Oil ,sugar , and processed food is not given by nature. Humans were most healthy when they were hunter gathers ( what I have studied) when they used to eat meat ,fruits , vegetables and grains were small part of human life . We are eating very less raw food , cooking veggies make nutrition more bio available but it comes with disadvantage.

Those people literally think that they will remain unhealthy(fat) forever because they cannot make their own cashew butter or cook from scratch. I know a girl who went almost bald after following the diet provided by satvik movement and after seeing the diet i understood that her hairfall is solely due to protein deficiency. She was losing weight but not consuming even 1/3rd of her daily protein requirement. She got back all her hairs after i supplemented her with protein and added eggs to her diet. India ( especially southern part ) is humid and hot area ( close to equator ) ... if you drink wine you or other alcoholic drinks your body will have plenty of inflammation. Dr Pal brings in experts and states the facts and shares the good information each one can provide. I agree with everything that Krish said especially with our lifestyle today, we can’t really be fully satvic however food is very individualized and we need to take it along those lines. I follow Dr Pal, Krish and Satvic movement and take the good points each one has to offer although each of us have a slightly different perspective on what these experts views are.

Earlier I was thinking about how you can make a topic extremely complex or super simple (given you understand it well), nutrition is no exception. Dr Mike's podcast recently had a guest who said that you can sum up healthy eating in seven words: "eat diverse, not too much, mostly plants", you could talk for days about the nuances here and there, of course, but in this game of oversimplifying concepts a lot can be lost in translation, I think that today's example pretty much says it all. Great video as always, cheers!

Wow ! That last line was zappy ! Absolutely agree. We are going to have a pair of cute ,flustered siblings out there today. Yes, they should take care of holier than thou, purer than others attitude. Remember that the pickles your grandmother made is also processed food, and has too much sodium too, apart from being finger licking good . Or maybe this holier than thou attitude is required to appeal to the urban, rich, ill informed elite or those aspiring to join that club.

I eat homemade meals 90 percent of the time because I like cooking and I like my grandmother's recipes.

Well i am a follower of both. Your approach makes more sense to me as i find logic in it whereas satvic movement tends to use a more traditional approach (read ancient) now whether it was really ancient or while practicing through generations it evolved dont know for sure. For us as consumers all of these are buffet spread and will take a bit of all so that its well balanced ;) After all no single form of practice is sufficient eg mixed martial arts. Just Karate or just Judo :-) Keep making these wonderful videos so that there is more options for us to choose ;)

Whatever u told is about practicality. Totally right. But what they told is the ideal case. Its best if we could reach that ideal state. Gradually it should be possible(100's of years🙂) But we can atleast try maximum to eat healthy whatever however possible. I think that is the idea behind Satvic movement. One small point May be u missed about " highly processed" food. RIce, grains dont fall under highly processed. As they are minimally processed.

@krishashok please do research well. 1. We do not need food that lasts longer. processed food are incompatible with your body. As you mentioned about costs, why do you think polished food lasts longer? thats completely wrong. millets are never polished and look at their longevity 2. by referring to Food that has life, she obviously means the food before cooking. If you cook sprouts, after cooking it will be dead but it will assimilate in your body while non vegetarian food cannot give us life 3. just tell me one that around the world if burger is used to feed labour class, why not feed them with porridge and millets that are faster to cook and more healthier. Regarding longevity, the real question is why companies are not cooking food for the labour class daily? why do they want to feed cancer causing food to labour class. 4. Farm to table is not expensive at all. This is the reason PDS exists. People who consume grains and millets and do ample physical workout can be very healthy All your arguments are completely invalid and honestly very stupid. This video is made sole purpose of making money because you know they are famous and your video will get many views. As bambi said ‘ if you cant say anything good, then say nothing ‘
