Reminds me of how DC rejected the Harley Quinn animated show from having a scene where Batman goes down on Catwoman because “heroes don’t do that.” Because the hero can get the girl but not some action? This feels just like the Harley Quinn show when batman was supposed to go and "eat out". And DC said "heroes dont do that", because they were afraid it would hurt his image with children. With the irony being this was on an adult focused show. Batman should be for everyone in the sense that the brand shouldn't be barred from any one avenue of storytelling, and (especially in today's age) I don't think having him be mature and then some will hurt his image as a children's brand and vice versa.

There's also the fact that most people who don't read comics aren't going to do any research. They here Batman whipped it out and think it's in the main book. I tend to agree with Tiffany’s assessment from the Back Issues episode where she talked about the difference between being nude (what Balent wanted to do with Catwoman) and a character being naked which is what Bruce was in that scene. If you have not seen that episode it’s one of Comicpops best in my opinion and may change your mind about the book and what we lost with the change. I also know Tiffany does more research into episodes than anyone I have seen on the KZbin’s sphere so I always love to hype up her work. Hell I think I want to go see it again now

Since you asked Beny, in my opinon it comes down to knowing your media and taking responsblity. White knight is a black label set meaning it is mature. Knowing what your kids are watching and reading is just good parenting. I also work at a theater and have to turn kids away all summer because they try to see R movies without ID or adults. The amount of parents that don't understand ratings or the rules is huge. WB and AT&T need to have confidence in the brands they create and the reasons they exist.
