@yungslack7311 My friends are better than me, they just get tilted over small stuff in matches which cause them to lose the rest of the match due to them thinking in a vacuum. I just happen to download opponents slightly quicker, while solely focusing on fundamentals in the games I play. As for Arslan, he acts as if the shit he does in matches isn’t annoying, or using the most annoying characters in the games he plays. Pakistani and Korean players in T7 are quite literally the biggest reason that T8 is what it is currently(toned down movement, crazy offense, etc). The Maximillian “jab/insult” was stupid because most people that play fighting games are subbed to/know who he is. Lastly, I play Classic, even though control scheme doesn’t matter, you should definitely focus on other things rather than trying to insult someone because they use a certain control scheme. Idk, you do you though.

i loved Xiao's identity in T7, her not having great combo damage or even lackluster wall carry while having really cool oki options both out in the open and at the wall was such cool character expression for Xiao specialists. I hated when they removed the wall tech option for her cause of akuma, and even in T8 it feels like she has even less oki options replaced with just outright strong mixups. While i'm happy she's the strongest she's been in the series probably, it makes playing her feel very bland for me (and very bland to play against too imo) I would happily trade some of her strong mixups/additions in T8 to get back some of her old T7 oki (uf2 leaving people standing front facing or back turn on crossups instead of knocked down, etc.) :(

@@ScorchedEclipseIt was the universal tech roll buff that killed Ling’s unblockable Uf2 setup. To get them to tech, you would mix that up with her raccoon swing combo reset. Xiaoyu still has some decent resets in 8 (she still has ff3 and peg leg, after all) and an unblockable tech catch with HYP 3+4, so the change isn’t as damaging to her identity as it was in post-patch 7. I was more upset about the removal of HYP 2 being +18 on block and her pirouette kick from AOP.

The "waifus are too strong" is just the state of T8 if you ask me. T7 Jin was jack of all trades- in T8 Jin is best at everything. T7 Drag was strong poke and punishment, meh range/mixups/damage- in T8 give him a nasty low and buff all is range/mixups/damage. Yoshi has always been a specialist character with tools for everything but all the tools suck, T8 yoshi is brain dead easy to play and all his buttons/combos HURT. Is not just the top tiers either almost every character has serval "flaws" "fixed" in the least interesting way... They gave Hei Stances/lows/unbreakable throws... I don't hate it T8 or anything, just pointing and wishing people could look at the whole roster (and get over the salt of their most recent L) Also! Appreciate the game for what it is and remember this is still early game!

Reina is above those bickering. She's a balanced character. Very oppressive but also very predictable if you use her too basically (if your plan is ff2, sentai etc constantly you're cooked, it's ultra easy to interrupt and punish). Heaven Wrath's same thing, it has zero priority , even the HW 1,2 armored is ultra easy to interrupt because the armor 1 takes ages to trigger. Once you go against players who know her, you got to really dig into her moves and stances to cancel them and switch to try and catch them by surprise. She becomes MUCH harder to play. Execution goes through the roof compared to her base gameplan. She's a demanding character actually and I'd say that she has no overpowered stuff. 25:50 Don't let that get to you. I appreciate your videos , always, even if I don't agree. Perspectives are different. Some people love to hate on others who have some success. There are plenty more people that like your stuff than otherwise. Literally: ignore the haters. Try and recognize legitimate critics (those are constructive, not destructive) and stick with the crowd that likes you. F the others basically.

Reina has too many baby mode strings with mid extensions that can't be fuzzy'd and that's why people don't like playing against her. 3,2 and 3,4 is one of those strings. Even her CD1 has a mid/high extension. She's cool, but she's just so boring to play against. They're either so bad that they can't start their offense against you or they're so button heavy and oppressive that you just have to watch a bunch of mumbo jumbo strings until you recognize one and duck it (assuming she doesn't do the mid extension in which case you go through the mumbo jumbo strings again)

One things that's worth noting is the most vocal complaint about Alisia is her chainsaws, even after the nerf. I don't know how Chanel played her before the patch but based on the matches he had in that event, it's clear Chainsaws is not a huge part of his game plan. It's tied more to using Tekken fundamentals thanks to Alisia's body and movement properties, all while forcing opponents to rely less on their flow charts (which in many cases are probably including cheesy over tuned moves as well. something people hate about Ling for AOP, I guess Asuka for easy parries, probably Zafina for similar reasons as Ling, etc)

I'm a tournament Alisa player and think she needs nerfs to risk reward on the DES gameplay loop, but Sajawal and Chikurin did have matchup assessment failures. Yoshi has the conventional tools to beat Alisa if you are either: 1. simply better than your opponent (this is not clear-cut here) 2. have instilled a fear of spin AND flash Without demonstrating a willingness to lose hp for openings on Alisa's mid-range pokes, she'll stay at range 1-1.5 and win on attrition. With respect to Lili, the matchup has always felt good to me. As you noted, she's forced to lean into mental frames and Alisa isn't. Chikurin didn't want to make hard reads, but DES necessitates that if you don't want to take a ton of chip.

I can say that almost every Alisa player has Lily as their another main or has a friend who plays lily. Lily vs Alisa matches they are always fascinating to watch. As a Alisa main i will say that Alisa is at a little Advantage here. Nice Video as always. Waiting for another episode.

I don't know if i am alone in this opinion but i prefer fight against poke heavy Alisa or Lily than Lars, Leroy, Kazuya or even Devil Jin. Female characters are for me easier to beat, excluding Xiaou and Nina. When i fight against females i feel that i cant just die from low or powerfull mid with one second because this always lead to another mixup on knockback or plus frames. I feel that victory is more in my hands. I can stand some lows from Alisa, she dont do much dmg and her plus frames in neutral are not that good, she need to step or backdash on read and punish to win, this is harder than just doing plus frames into mixup. Also i prefer to be hit by high powercrush that i can duck on reaction(after jab) and punish than Law powercrush with extension for 50 dmg. Male characters hit like a truck, and can be played with out defensive knowledge and do well, playing Lily without defence knowledge is imposible. As a Tekken God Jin player with shame i can tell that after learning Lily i am only at Tekken King, and I really strugled to achive this. With Jin it is simply, Low with plus frame, and with threat of 4 button we can go.

Learn the base of your char first, only when you start knowing your +/- frames moves you can start studying others; because then you'll have a strong point of comparison and you will automatically think "oh so I can counter this char with that on my main"
