You can get this product from the link below! suigenkyo.store/products/ryusui-padded-vest 10% off coupon "SUIGENKYO10" Product Name: OMIGOROMO Padded Vest Ryusui Discription: This traditional textile vest is made of Nishijin-ori obi fabric with a width of approximately 31 cm. Because of the narrow width of the fabric, a special pattern (blueprint) was created, and Yusuke Maeda's Nishijin textile design and apparel design were applied to this product under the apparel brand N's 1182, which is unique to this traditional Japanese industry. The use of wool as padding allows the jacket to be worn both inside and outside, making it a warm, functional and fashionable product with a fresh look.

Beautiful attention to detail. From the first dye batch to the finished garment. I work in smaller pieces so I know about patterns and the stitching. It never ceases to fascinate me.

Fascinating. I was hoping to see the skeins of gray yarn be transferred to whatever tool they use to spool it before it is added to the loom.

I find it amazing the heat they subject the silk yarn to in the different stages of dyeing it but you would never do that to a finished garment

Did that printer just perforate the pattern to make cut out easier? Why am I just learning about the pattern printer that perforates the paper? This video was amazing from start to finish, but the printer was mind blowing!

No mask or respirator when handling those dye powders is so dangerous. The powder is incredibly easy to inhale, and often contains heavy metals.

*AND THAT PEOPLE* is why quality clothes last half a lifetime and Fasty Fashion lasts an average of 7 wears. The MOST expensive clothes you will ever buy are cheap clothes.
@yarnexpress
@yarnexpress Жыл бұрын
Complete fallacy. There are quality constructed ready to wear clothes. Case in point. I bought a Calvin Klein denim coat in 1985(!) with a merino wool zip in liner. I'm still wearing it every fall & spring, so 6 months out of every year. I paid, if I remember correctly, less than $300USD. It goes into the washer & dryer 2 - 4 times every year. If you want to nit pick, the last 10 yrs it's started to show its age which, for me, is not a bad thing with denim. I could go on with other items. Bottom line if you learn a little about fabric & clothing construction you will not be replacing every 7 yrs. BTW Silk disintegrates if exposed to direct sunlight.

@@yarnexpress *YOU ARE LITERALLY CONFIRMING MY EXACT POINT...!!!* Calvin Klein is NOT fast fashion. $300 in 1985 is $858.15 today. A fast fashion jacket would be $30 TODAY at Zara or Shein and they would last an average of 7 wears. Your quality $858 jacket [inflation adjusted] has lasted you 38 years - which is almost exactly HALF a lifetime. EDIT: " Bottom line if you learn a little about fabric & clothing construction you will not be replacing every 7 yrs". I'm a bespoke tailor of men's historical suits - please don't patronise me. My suits start at €5,000. Im typing this in a room filled with bolts of cloth up to 150 years old.

As someone who makes most of their own clothes ( it's ridiculously easy to make simple no waste garments), I cannot imagine only wearing something 7 times. W in the actual F? I have clothes from 30 years ago that are just getting worn in now lol. If your pieces don't last 10 years, you're buying the wrong shit.

@@complimentary_voucher I have jackets that were made the year I was born - 1970 - and they are in perfect condition. The clothes I make [Im a bespoke tailor of historical mens suits] should last 20 years of regular wear of a literal lifetime of weekly wear. I try to add 100-150mm 4-6" of additional length to the trousers in case your son has longer legs than you when you leave the suit to him in your will.

This may be a ridiculous question and, if so, I apologize. I am often shocked by how many machines actually exist to handle steps in the process. For your yarn dyeing machines, does a company actually make these machines and you adapt your process to use them? Or, do you find a machine making company and tell them what functions you need it to do and they design the machine in a custom fabrication? If you wanted to add two more yarn dyeing machines, would new ones need to be built for you or is there a support industry already in place? If they were custom built, do you own the designs so you can have more made, years later, from a different place if there is an issue with the signing company (like going out of business, etc)?
