for everyone asking about scanning you can also cut out the individual frames and scan them back into digital with an iphone in the notes app and it gives a solid result. notes app>camera>scan documents

You are using DaVinci Resolve which is awesome. I would definitely do a digital cutout to key out the sky and use motion tracking in Fusion to add in some random background texture. That would mean filming the person in front of a green screen and using match move.

I don’t understand the putting of individual frames into the video and piecing that stop motion together. How do you get the scanned frames to line up? Is it really a matter of important each frame, and manually cropping it/centering it?

Epson Perfection V330 Photo Scanner! It’s quite old though, I got it on Facebook marketplace

what do you use to put all the frames together in the same size?

I used Canva! But recently I’ve found an easier way, after selecting all my photos on the computer, right click and select print, it’ll then give you the option of how many photos you want on each page. It’ll automatically size down your photos which saves a lot of time. I was only able to do this on windows and not on my MacBook tho
