I agree with Anthony on the point that this tape honestly made me depressed listening to it because STEEZ passed away. They had so much potential to be an all time great with STEEZ but that was taken away. No disrespect to STEEZ at all.

I really respect this dude for actually being so humble when on the subject of Steez. It's also nice to see him respecting Pro Era. As much as i think it's good to be criticized and then being able to reflect on your mistakes and grow, sometimes Needle can be a little bit over the top when criticizing the different artists. But much respect towards him when he's reviewing the Pro Era tapes.

RIP STEEZ This cat was mad talented. I hoped he'd be at the forefront of the revitalization of rap. I think rap is in need of some serious changes. I can't wait to see what comes next from the rest of the Pro Era crew, the Underachievers, Action Bronson, Bruiser Brigade, Nitty Scott, MC, Flatbush Zombies, the Tan Boyz, A$AP Mob, and Black Hippy. Just wish i could see Capital STEEZ change the hip-hop world alongside them. I know he didn't do any of that God speak but... God rest his indigo soul.

I would love for you to review the new Cult of Luna (Vertikal) or the new Steven Wilson (The Raven that Refused to Sing) albums. They seem like the sort of proggy, intricate metal that you seem to enjoy. Cult of Luna's Vertikal is more industrial and machinical, while the new Steven Wilson is very organic and jazzy. Both albums might suit your taste. Just a suggestion. :)

I give it a 7/10 I mean yea it's great to respect the old times but we gotta experiment with new beats and find new flows, what's the point of liking the old champagne for days if you are going to bottle it up for years without tasting it? Superhelpful does that a great job of that changing up the times and without him I think Pro Era would be stuck in the same phase forever. Move Forward I seen artist find new beats and flows to a great extent, expand your horizon Pro Era.

If there's anything I've learned from Anthony's reviews it's that you can't judge music upon listening to it 'a few times', whether this be a song, an album or even a genre. I don't listen to certain genres that much but I don't say they 'suck' because, well, who am I to judge?

The most interesting part of this review was your comment on hip hop's age and how it's come to the point where we can do covers/revisit ideas. People forget that hip hop is pretty old now. I agree with your point but it's also a little sad to me. I don't want nostalgia. I want new kids to know their hip hop, then be cutting-edge enough to bring new shit. I shill for LiveLoveASAP because Clams did some beats I've never heard before in hip hop, ever. That's what i want. Not covers.
