Niinii great work as always. I just have to say something about Calafiori. I’ve searched to see as much of him as I possibly could and he’s a talented defender. If CFC/Maresca are looking for a defender to invert, he’s ideal. The last stretch of the szn when Cucu was showing new form inverting into midfield was great to see. It was one match(I wish I could remember who we played) that Cucu started the game coming into the midfield and he was getting pressed on the ball. The few games before that he seemed fit to do it but once teams figured it out they knew that Cucu was the weak link. His issue is that he has to have space to see what he’s going to do with the ball. He isn’t quick thinking out on the pitch. He can be solid in that role but I don’t think he’s robust enough. What I’ve liked about Calafiori is he’s quick with his movement, progressive, and technically good enough to work the press. It would be a nice signing if we could make it happen 💙💙💙

Yeah I get you but we sold Livramento straight from the academy for €26m. And Hall for over €30m with just over 800 senior minutes for us. The market for talented youth players is just changing, and we have certainly been a driver of that change. And although the club will receive payments for Hutchinson in instalments, it’s still accounted for all at one time.
