In actuality, this isn't normally my kind of show but I'm really digging it! No idea what all that symbolism in the opening is foreshadowing but I'm looking forward to it being agonizing and amazing c: Also, I never knew I needed a strong awesome female shonen protagonist in my life, but here she is and she's awesome ♥️

Another spoiler, but I think the butterfly is a symbol of the children, fragile and vulnerable, being taken prey to the demons. They are captives. Then it becomes a symbol of freedom when Emma and the others punch through the puzzle piece wall and escape, intact.

Another spoiler The red string is used for the cup phone that Emma and Norman used as a children. The scene in the opening when the string burns up signifies Emma’s and Norman’s bond being broken since he’s been shipped out.

For anyone who wants to knoe waht this is about, it's basically about orphan kids who have a seemingly ordinary life before they get shipped off around 12 or so until it turns out... their actually being used as livestock by demons who want to eat them. o.o So then they have to escape... At first it's like a horror story but then you got some action later on too. :p
