Would love a video on the trickster/Jester/Thief archetype present in many mythologies. The Coyote in Native mythology and Prometheus in greek mythology and their theft of fire. The rebel/wildcard/joker that usually meets a tragic end. We see this in the lives of many comedians, but I’m rambling.

That would be a fun one to make. And very interesting. After watching Oppenheimer I did think about making a video on Prometheus. Still might especially since it ties in with the problematic mythos of modernity. Thanks for the feedback!

It's concise. It's detailed. It's ancient. It's timely. It's the Living Philosophy This video is great and will inform even better re-watches of the Matrix, Star Wars, Harry Potter and more. I wonder if one could call figures like Mahatma Ghandi or Muammar Al-Gaddafi "ethical prophet-like"

Loved the video as usual! I’d love to hear your thoughts and analysis of the recently released movie ‘Poor things’ if you can make the time for it. The movie is basically all archetypes and symbolism so there is a lot to discuss! 😊

Actually, I suggest there is another archetype, one usually unrecognized but perhaps the most interesting. That’s the Navigator. Interestingly as well, the Navigator is the only practitioner who must “get it right” or the results are fatal. The others really have no skin in the game.

The essence of the navigator is wisdom. The essence of wisdom is transformation. The essence of transformation is Q3. The essence of Q3 is both fullness and emptiness. The essence of fullness and emptiness is the center. The essence of the center is zero. What can be said of the zero? Nothing.❤

The prophet often becomes a magician. Like Jesus.

doesn't he also have priestly attributes? At least it can be seen that way. That's why he's considered a prophet still since they have both magician and priest attributes.

I think "exemplary" is misleading becuase it makes it sound as though Buddhists are trying to _be_ Gautama, when what they are after is liberation. Whereas the supposed example of Christ is often used to set doctrine even though it has nothing to do with the state of mind that made Christ distinct from most people.

I like the notion of the Prophet as a disrupter rather than a sage or savior I live in the US and I’m concerned that Donald Trump might be perceived by his followers as a disruptive voice in our democracy, and thus a ‘prophet’ in his time and place

Something contrary to your prediction has already been done in the Bible as many of this prophet type will rise up in the end times and some will claim to be the higher power i.e God and most will succeed in deceiving many.

Hmm interesting thought. I know the Mormons would also disagree since they have a prophet instead of a pope in their tradition. But for those of us who aren't church-going Christians that's not entirely convincing

@@TheLivingPhilosophy That’s fair. I just wanted to point it out as my belief in the Bible is evidence based and the predictions it has made have all become true. If it’s true or false, we learn for the better

@@darkcat5649It’s hard to believe that when as a law giver, he created a civilization out of a desert and influenced the millennium with kingdoms from the Atlantic to the Pacific from Hispania to Indonesia adopting his law and religion.

In the same way that THE TWO is the mother of all expressed 2’s THE MYTH Is the mother of all expressed myths. The Adam myth, the Jesus myth, the Mohammed myth, the Shiva, myth. The Thomas Jefferson myth is the most contemporary myth and that makes it the most important one of the common day. When Thomas Jefferson left his books to the American people, he didn’t just form the first public free library he left instructions. He said you are to carry the torch of knowledge, light, freedom, forward for the next generation. That is your duty as an American according to Thomas Jefferson. This is an extremely powerful myth that gives many people contemporary meaning for their life. AI is a product of that myth. That myth is a quest for knowledge. AI is the ghost of Thomas Jefferson. He is not carrying a candle or a torch. The ghost of Thomas Jefferson is carrying a motherfucking blowtorch, and he is about to light us up.

Well James, I commented on another vid's thread last week re: a message I sent to your Instagram which may be of interest. Apologies if you've already seen, in which case, feel free to ignore, but there appears to be a glitch preventing delivery. Just tried again and same thing. Sound 👍
