Beliefs exist no where else but inside the minds of the believers. Reality is something else altogether. You and I exist as realities. God exists only as a belief inside our minds. If our beliefs existed as realities, we wouldn't have to *believe* they exist. We would *know* they exist. For instance, spiritual redardation exists. God does not. It's as simple as that. God is a belief inside the minds of the feeble-minded masses, nothing more than a belief. I hope this helps you with getting a grip on reality. "From silence and nothingness we all came and to silence and nothingness we shall all return." Amen

Belief is a form of knowing. I can know whether or not we have any milk in our house either by 1) going to the refrigerator and looking, or 2) asking my wife and taking her word for it. Either way, I know.

@michaeldavidgantt You're trying to defend your belief in God with your belief that you have milk in the fridge? Do you have any idea how silly that is? I exist. You exist. Milk exists. God does not. It's as simple as that. When you vanish from existence, other believers will be left behind to continue to believe while even others will be left behind to profit off those beliefs but the reality will STILL exist that God is a belief, not a reality but, a belief. When we die, so shall ALL of those beliefs along with all of our thoughts and hope's and dreams and plans for tomorrow and it will be THEN that we will return to the silence and nothingness of our non-existence. I DO understand the fear involved in dying and having to leave behind everyone and everything we love so dearly about life but, when it happens, neither of us will even know it happened. Our minds, where all of our beliefs are stored will die and vanish with us. Looking on the bright side, however, when we die, all of our worries and woes, our aches and pains, all of the world's suffering, starvation, aggravations of life, all of our anger at the world around us, all of the war, hate, murder, bloodshed and every bridge we have ever burned will vanish from our minds forever. It could be, Michael, that the peace and quiet and tranquility of silence and nothingness is the very "heaven" which the writers of the bible were referring to. Now go give you wife a hug, tell her how much you appreciate having her in your life and have a glass of milk while you still can. 😉

The oldest word for seer, is prophetess . Which would be aeshura, not yehway . A female. And in most stories beginning with adam , the chosen descendants are not prophetic and do not see forwards. They are told of future events that they will eventually live, by god / their wife. So they are more likely than not, remembering back to them
