This list is HORRENDOUS if you actually play the endgame. Two of the b tier characters here deal the highest dps and one of them just needs to jump shoot (not even skills) for the highest dps in the game (50mill in 60 second test). Id also face tanks endgame boss attacks and deal consistent damage without the need for moving around much as his personal double sigil lets him do so. This list is horrible

Rosetta's Buffs have unlimited duration, but only 1 can be active at a time. If you cycle them then yes they feel short because they cancel out eachother. Also you do NOT need to be near a rose to be buffed.

Echoing this. Buffs are party wide and constantly pulse based on the colour of the rose circle. Theyre still generic buffs, but they require no interaction from other players.

I'm sobbing at Rosetta's placement because I went in as a Rosetta main, started building Cag as a CPU pick, used Cag once in Co-op out of curiosity, and switched immediately to being a Cag main... My problem with rosetta is just keeping up the placement on her roses. Bosses in the game move around so much that it's nearly impossible to keep her damage up... It made a lot of the bosses unnecessarily aggravating to fight. I lvoe Rosetta, but dang, I really don't love playing her sometimes...

Just to clarify a few infos, rosetta roses aoe indicate only their range of attack & skill radius. The buffs are still applying even if you completely at the other side of the map. You can manage a perfect uptime of all her 3 buffs (if you are willing enough) although just having defense & attack buff PERMANENTLY would suffice. She also is a great damage dealer (well of course, not as much as actual dps character) on bosses that are not moving out too much out of her roses. The issue the character have realistically is that, supports are wronged currently in the game, with the damage cap system, making their buff worthless, & the amount of potion/auto revive/ and guts traits that you get for free because of that damage caps, makes healing almost irrelevant aswell. But that affects all support builds i fear. The second big problem of rosetta, is her plants attacks.. do not procs cascade, supplementary damage, roll the dice.. etc.. & it makes it that she barely have ANY sigils to help her do something as a dps, while being a support would bring nothing.

I don't agree on the support part i'm a gran full support and substitute is OP as hell if you build gran full HP/DEF with CD reduction coupled with phalange & Panacea (the other skill depend on the situation Veil (debuff immunity) , miserable mist (monster debuff for sba) or clarity) Gran can carry a party of 3 glass canon char. And substitute allow people to move freely instead of Vane's Dome when they all need to stay packed in the same place ! i can feel the difference when i play my Gran Support VS my Io DPS i have WAY less Quest fail ! So yup Gran Support does matter !

If you play with a party of full premade, i can only imagine how useful it could be yeah, espescially if it allows for better building on three other people. But the point remains, that any other supports in the game brings nothing. The only supporting tool would be slow, paralyze, and freezing. Gran's veil, slow, & even his damage cut are good, but.. when you play with people that just don't get hit, because they are used to the game & bosses, you are kinda left to just throw your skills out of the window

yodarha's mirror image buff last for 3 hits instead of 1 hit, and with one of his endgame character sigils he can easily provide close to 100% upkeep of the buff if your teammates don't immediately lose all the mirror images.

About Cag, I would like to add she has a personnal sigil that applies a -20% Def debuff when she hits her charged attack, which is all the time so she can easily keep 100% uptime on it. That on top of Phantasmagoria stacking with all other buffs makes her, to me, a character that pairs up well with anyone (aside from herself, of course) 😁

Just a side note, that may have not been mentioned in the video. Vaseraga has an undying buff, but he also has a substitute in his kit. Pairing both, you can behave the same way as vane. The buff lasts more than 10 seconds, and can help you skip certain phases of bosses. I feel like my boy Vaseraga got done dirty for not being shown for his full kit's worth

​@@asunayuuki1705 game was out for 5 days when this was posted btw, and yes I was hitting max dmg possible with 80k HP without terminus weapon, Its possible if you have the correct skills to hit cap and you have enough slots to just go Aegis. I have my terminus now and I am hitting new max dmg cap again with all perfect skills and my Mastery has perfect Dmg cap up, Perfect dmg, perfect Crit. Honestly Terminus weapon doesn't feel that good, you need perfect skills or its not as good as Transcended weapon.

@@thefool8641I think they mentioned that because you need to be under 45k to get the 50% cap buff from terminus. You will do more damage with a transcended terminus Weapon objectively, and you can’t really debate that because of the catastrophe buff. Nothing else gives that in the game which is what makes them the objectively highest damage weapon in the game. It might not feel good to you because you can’t have the same survivability tactic as the other weapon but it is objectively the best dps weapon. You could argue dead dps is no dps so you need survivability but with guts,autorevive,potion hoarder, etc, improved dodge, etc you’re just not staying dead.

@@Sparda51 That's pretty much my endgame build with Terminus, all perfect auto revive/potion hoarder/guts/stamina/berserk/crit dmg/cap up, with perfect mastery. but realistically not everyone has perfect dps/utility sigils to fully utilize Terminus because of rng, which is why most people will be better off still using there Transcended until there rng gives them decent sigils.

quick note on Ferry, if we are talking about endgame, having her character-specific sigils would mean ATK and DEF down permanently on an enemy as long as her pets are dealing damage. DEF down might not be good if everyone is hitting the cap already, but ATK down is. Helps keep the team alive on some scenarios and even enables some one-shots to be bearable.

Pretty solid list overall, but I do find Rosetta's 100% up time on her 30% DEF buff + low cds on her damage cut and heal+cleanse skills really good with randoms that keep getting hit, proud bosses barely do any damage with this combo. Finally, her buffs unlike what the game says work no matter where the team is, they do jot need to be in the Roses' range for them to work.

One sec, I gotta lawyer up for my boy Vaseraga. Aside for being a Charge tank monster himbo, he has "Umbral Eclipse" that provides a AOE slow sandwiched on his DPS skill loop also if you want to be what I personally coin the fun "Nuke button" he has the "Immortal Pain+Netherwarath" combo that not only gives you Covered and Substitute for tanking but turns you into a hot damn WW2 mushroom cloud that's hype to the bone on pulling it off. Though the real downside of his kit is that the player has to be a positioning god in order to be consistent on DPS, Vaseraga has a way to provide party benefits like to take damage for other players and slow. Thank you for listening your honor, I rest my case.

as long as the dev don't fix the issue of attack damage cap issue, attack buffers will always be kept being not a viable choice compare to other builds. One way is to make future bosses have extremely higher defense where even a character with high atk and dmg cap, their damage will get mitigated by the high defense, result in not reaching damage cap. So players can make more choices of sacrificing ultility sigils or defensive sigils and switch to full dps to reach the cap, or bringing some debuffer/attack buffer.

late to the party but great video nonetheless, one small thing I noticed that you didn't seemed to have taken into consideration though is how fast a character build their SBA. Ferry, Cag and Rackam being the characters that can charge their SBA the fastest out of the cast gives them a little bit of extra value especially in speedrun scenarios. But yah, keep up the good work, hope see more Relink content as they drop more contents for the game!

I used to think Rackam was great in slimes, but Eugen is god tier for slimes with the right build and the laser cannon you wipe the entire field at once almost 190 kills in slime room easy every time.

You can pick Rackam with an autoclicker to just "Lclick" and run 10 slime runs at a time without actually being there. If you set up a macro for "w > Lclick" it will go on forever.

with Rosetta I was never below 15mil ever in a Proto Bahamut fight and every single time hit mvp, rose buffs are map wide and flowers never ever wear off, you underestimate that girl a lot and might have no clue how play her and you miss some points on other chars, but you go more indepth than other surface level tier lists, solid job I would say.

I think you did my boy Id wrong hehe, he's amazing as CPU with double slow. Very underrated. (and yes he is able to slow in human form and again in dragon form) Also, he has easy to use damaging skills that dont require specific timings and the CPU is always able to pull it off as he has perma hyperarmor. I have openers with him do 10/20% of boss hp dmg with that alone!

It depends on whether or not you have your character sigils. If you have both, you just spam the snipe, you use grenades for when you know a boss will be in a specific area soon for easy prep dmg. Otherwise, during breaks you might do 2-3 grenades while it's still. It all depends on the boss and how mobile it is. Dmg difference between the 3 is somewhat negligible. Grenade throw animation is long af.

This is great info,there's so much to learn in this game...Can someone explain to me how to initiate a Full burst? I set it to "wait until player char bursts",yet they don't do anything with theirs. I tried it on the Shield Goblin miniboss in the first mission and only main char executed it,the other 3 did not. All of them were 100% up too.

All Rosetta needs to be a good character is for cascade(maybe sup?) to work with her rose attacks. Iron Maiden stacks with spiral rose so you can actually get 30 rose attacks from 1 skill

I think for Vaseraga, you have to blame the player and not the character. If you properly switch between doing charged attacks and uncharged attacks to top off the stun gauge or squeeze it in before a link attack, he gets crazy mileage off properly utilizing link attacks. Link time is also insane since it reduces the charge time for his moves substantially. On top of this he can also stick to enemies really well if he tries since his X > Y > Y combo and Battalions of Fear go crazy far, the combo can even be extended if you utilize dashes to do X > Y > Y > dash > Y > dash > Y. Vaseraga is insane and has crazy untapped potential, it's just his mains giving him a bad name.

Hoping someone has the answer as I can't seem to find it anywhere. For Lancelot can you double dip with Supplementary dmg? i.e. Can you run 100% chance from Sigils and use his skill can proc it supp. dmg twice? Or does it still just proc once? I'd test but I don't have enough Supplementary sigils. Just a thought on either making him double dip on it or freeing sigil slots for him.

Yes. Basically how it works is if you have max supp damage on your sigils and use his buff it moves the damage up from the original 20% to a higher percent. Don't remember how much higher, but it is not a negligible number, so it's SUPER WORTH to take the buff and full supp damage sigils with him. You can ofc just drop one or two supp damage sigils and have it be a percent chance to hit higher than 20% on each supp hit when using the buff. This lets you have some extra leeway if you want to slot in some more utility. Very good overall

Rosetta is such a dark horse. The stun+burst on her rose explode is crazy. I think she seems underwhelming because of a higher skill ceiling than some characters and people poorly managing her roses (not just placement, but level too). Also the roses are 100% party wide, permanent buffs.

I’m a ID main and I kinda like that he’s a underdog in a way, I have no problem hitting 14-16m honors in Protos runs consistently tho and I think him being able to have his slow ability in both his God and dragon form helps him to get a ton of damage off for himself aswell as teammates.

Yeah, not really seeing the Dragon form taking too long as an Id main. If anything the base form takes too long. Dragon form gets 4 combos base form needs to do 4 really long combos or 8 shorter combos if you have no skills of cooldown. I don't know, I just use ability, combo, use ability, combo, use ability, use ability, combo and it's done and I can swap in and out of melee and ranged combo's through that. Dragon form is your ranged mode. There are certain parts in fights you just can't be melee but Dragon form lets you combo through those or cancel your combo's specifically to stay in ranged mode. I often find myself combo'ing too fast and ending up in godmight without the ability to even use the heavy combo because in the amount of damage I did to get godmight the boss is in their no melee phase. Definitely want to build out Vane and Charlotta though.

I'm an Io main. I will say the one issue she has, specifically in the proto fight is sometimes her moves won't come out due to Proto's position. Like if he's floating directly in front of the ship, or if the game locks onto his hand but it's positioned weirdly, she'll go through the animation but the attack won't register. It's caused me to miss the timing of para to interrupt the beam move which leads to death, because i get nuked during the recovery frames.

Contrary to popular belief, attack buffs aren't completely useless despite the damage cap conundrum. For those unaware, buffs will not raise the damage cap, thus any attack that is already capping is not benefitting from buffs. Even so, SBAS and link attacks have absurdly high damage caps and the attack buff will add a significant amount of extra damage to them. As an example, Rosetta's SBA deals 1.4m damage without the attack buff, but 1.53m with it. Her link attack deals 583k without it and 653k damage with it. That's around a 10-12% damage increase on every SBA/link attack FOR THE WHOLE PARTY. This damage adds up since the attack buff can be permanent, especially during long burst windows where 4 SBAs and 4 Link Attacks (potentially 8) are used. The reason other characters generally do not bring attack buffs is because it's simply not worth running them when they can run a different skill to do damage with instead as it will be useful both inside and outside of burst windows. However, Rosetta's attack buff is not only functionally permanent but also built into her base kit; it doesn't take up a skill slot and is very valuable because you'll always have it active whereas the cooldown of other character's attack buffs significantly hamper their overall effectiveness. The attack buff also helps to cap the rose auto attacks along with Catastrophe, Tyranny, and Stamina. Without the attack buff her roses will fall 2-3k short of the cap.

My party consists of Io, because I enjoy playing mages, Charlotta when I want to turn my brain off, Djeeta because the game requires me to include her, and Narmaya to balance the party's breast size. Yes, I do go "Ora ora ora ora ora" when playing Charlotta.

Could you provide an Tier-list of characters when they are played as CPU / team mates? :) Not all characters play equally well when they are used as CPU vs. when you play them yourself. Going over that would be super helpful for others! cheers 👍❣

I agree with the tier list if we're talking about utility generally, however atm the buffer supports are kind of pointless to play that way cause its easy to hit the damage ceiling for each character, and while Def Up is kind of usefull, most times its not relevant enough, which makes it convenient to just play for more DPS. That said, support skills that gives Invincibility or Stout Heart are actually really good, and debuffers that play paralysis, slow or freeze are top notch, however Def Down suffers the same problem that Atk Up has, i'd like to see buffers given more value in the future cause buff skills are in the game and its a shame not being able to play them with a mostly buffer build in mind

i think she is wrong about rosetta. you can only have 1 buff permanently. if you apply a 2nd one via combo, the first one will run out. otherwise it stays forever

it is very interesting to have an analysis than isn't just "how can i make the biggest damage" and actually take the teamplay in consideration, i have seen so much build who simply go for the biggest self buff and just go for damage in the other 3 slots like are their character is playing alone. It's a playstyle, but i find it kinda sad.

Good tier list but have to disagree with id placement for sure and also the reason vane is in s tier should be also because of his damage output too, you can literally spam skills and I would say he might be the best character period just because how versatile he is. You can make him full tank, break build, dps build, drain tank build etc.

I'm biased but Yoda is S tier, mirror image blocks multiple hits for the party. He builds SBA gauge fast. 1 triangle parry and he's straight into the end of his combo chain with a supplementary buff. His damage is really good if you build into combo booster and combo finisher.... Yoda gang

You forgot to mention Yodas counter by pressing triangle. if hit he can go right into hit light attack heavy attack, skipping the need to go through the combo a few times to get the count down.

As a Rosetta main, I love playing her, but I can absolutely see how other characters have a much easier time. She wants to zone in a game where almost all of the bosses are highly mobile while having no tools to tie the bosses down.

The way damage buffs should work is to include damage cap up along with it that can stack separately from the existing damage cap sigils. That way the damage buffs don't lose its value.

Rosetta buffs are party wide. You do not need to be in the range of her roses. I have her at 25K power with full terminus weapon. I will agree you have to put a lot of work in for her though.

I will add for Vas. Stacking Undying + Substitute let's EVERYONE tank skyfall. That said, all good info to have. I realized I tend to get drawn towards the Tanks(Vaseraga and Vane) mainly with my 3rd and 4th picks being Gran and Kat.

Since i've typically just played with like 1 other friend or with AI(Who tend to dodge damage under most circumstances) I haven't found the "Ceiling" yet. But the hardest i've hit with it so far has been about 2m damage after standing in Proud mode wind Wyrm's bloodlusted tornado. Haven't landed the explosion on Bahamut since the AOE is fairly small for it.

@@MosesSuppose Id has great damage if he is buffed, and has link Time to spam godmight but if you have a fully min maxed ID vs any other character his 30 second time attack will always be lower than anyone else. trust me, I main id and can not get any more damage out of him running 4 dmg caps, tyranny, stamina, glass cannon, supp dmg and war element with a maxed terminus weapon and any other character can output millions more in the same amount of time. ID takes too much time to set up a good damage rotation and it doesn't last long enough. now with that said, ID is still great this game has no bad characters but it does have insane characters and ID isn't one of them

Charlotta has a 50% dmg cut aoe buff (not global) and its uptime is the same as her uptime in boss due to Cascade/awakening traits. If she's already damage capped, she can replace her self buff with this

I would argue Lancelot is S++ Tier. Very likely the only class in the game who at endgame could easily solo any boss in the game, including the upcoming boss in March on release and NEVER die. Every other class would have to try at least 2-4 times harder to achieve the same thing. Infinite dodges with Flight or Fight + Mirror Image as insurance? Makes him break the game, almost can't be touched and almost always in invulnerability state. He abuses the game mechanics to the utmost degree, maybe even the dev team didn't consider what they have done.
