I love MERCARI!!!! I sell on that platform and only on that platform and have no issues!!!! I HATE POSHMARK they take too much out of your sales!

That’s awesome! Even though Poshmark is my main selling platform, I’m honestly not a huge fan of them either 😂 I just like how easy the shipping is over there and that’s the only thing keeping me on their platform for the most part lol

I'm a newbie to selling online. I figured I would start with mercari since their fees are so low and I'm just trying to sell items I no longer need. So far so good. I've had sales and I've purchased some pretty cute things without any problems.

I do all free shipping. I’ve been selling for two years and haven’t had any problems. I do agree that people want something for nothing but you don’t have to accept offers!

Hilarious....10 mins of CONS and 3 minutes of PRO's!! Yep, agree with you on many points...Mercari is the Yard Sale of all the platforms I have come to find out. Nothing over $30 basically. And their condition buttons as well as their brands interface and selections need a huge update!! Carry On!

I love to sell on Mercari. They do ask the seller before canceling an item if the buyer wants to cancel. If the buyer wants to return an item, and you accept the return, Mercari absorbs the shipping cost. I refunded 3 sales in December because the item was lost in the USPS system, and Mercari added the amount of these sales to my account, so, I love to sell on Mercari :)

All these! 🤣 I used to sell on mercari but I've never enjoyed how it looks. I do occasionally buy from mercari because I like that you can save searches and get notifications when items are added. Poshmark needs that feature

I'll share a buyers perspective. With the pandemic I had to find a new ways to source items due to I have a s*** immune system and I'm high risk for covid-19 complications. So I began to search daily for items on mecari that I could flip and still make a profit on eBay. I've been able to find lots, make bundles and discover items where the seller is unaware of what they have. (If that makes any sense). I also do some selling as I figured out which items sell for more money on mecari than they would on on eBay. I find very little value in bumping reducing the price of my items so I rarely do that.

Also I sell items on mecari that have flooded the market on eBay. Trust me I agree with all those negatives as well and most importantly they return policy is just crap!!

I've heard too many horror stories about Mercari. You can scan your packages at the self service kiosk in the post office lobby. Then you have a receipt of shipment.

Be careful with those kiosks, I once sold 3 tablets when I was down on my luck, I really needed the money, the buyer never got them. I had to refund the money, which I already had spent on rent. 5 months later, the buyer received the tablets, 2 of them completely shattered and destroyed. I'm assuming they got stuck in the kiosk some where.

Hiya Christina, I’ve always heard nightmare stories about Mercari so stayed away. However I know people who find deals there on things people don’t know much about. Mixed bag I guess.
