In the best orchestras, every musician has spent countless hours studying the entire score for whatever piece is performed and then spends countless more hours figuring out how their part fits into that larger score. I realize the creators of this video probably don't know of all the behind the scenes work in an orchestra. However, I think it would be more accurate to describe Providence with this analogy as a terrible orchestra where everyone fumbles constantly over various things, doesn't know what they're doing to varying degrees, and may or may not be trying to get better, but the conductor is so good that he is able to overcome that to make a beautiful sound come out anyway.

Interesting video, but if God is in charge of EVERYTHING, doesn't he also dictate the bad things? How do you account for the evil in the world under this interpretation?

History, according to scripture, is the drama of salvation by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible states that Jesus was "the lamb slain before the foundations of the world." That is, the death of the Son of God being the pinnacle of history was the purpose of the entire act of creation. The thing to understand is that the "bad things" are accidental, not essential. God made man upright and by grace through faith in Christ begins the restoration which is completed on the day of Christ's return when "the perishable puts on the imperishable." God allowed sin to enter though Adam's disobedience that the salvific obedience of Christ would be eternally meaningful and glorious. Some may twist their faces at that reality; for evil has been various and great throughout history, but this is only because we so little understand not only the redeeming power of Christ, but his eschatological work of "making all things new." That is, our view of justice and restoration is truncated. Christ was flogged beyond recognition, nailed, asphyxiated, and impaled. Yet, because he was without sin, the grave could not hold him. He rose and was given the promised unshakeable kingdom. When he returns, he will bring life everlasting to his own and condemnation everlasting to his enemies. That is how we account. Evil was allowed to exalt the power of God in Christ's death and resurrection. It is temporary and at the end will be eternally vanquished.
